I lOVE GOLD! I love the Mexican 50 peso bullion coins at 1.2057 ounces. That is a big hefty fatty! The peruvian 100 sols are over 1.3 ounces and are beautiful also. The French 100 Francs (Pre Angels) are awesome coins.
This has to be one of my favorite gold coins of all time...Japan Gold

But this real Indian head design enthralls me for the smallest gold piece that was produced (hammer struck):
But if I were forced to pick a couple I'd say the early quarter eagles (1796 - 1807) followed by either of the Classic Head $2.50 and $5.00 coins. (1834 - 1839) The Classic Head coins were the first U.S. gold coins that received wide spread circulation. The early $2.50 are among the rarest type coins in the entire US. series. If I were mega wealthy I'd add the 1808 $2.50 to the list, but that coin is so far out of my reach that I can't even think about it. I havn't even sold one of those in the business, and I've bought and sold just about every other type coin.
Next in line would be the $3 gold, the 1907 High Relief and the sub varieties of Type 1 gold dollars.
Chicolini: Mint? No, no, I no like a mint. Uh - what other flavor you got?
