    way too dark, but my impression is it's a keeper.

    That's the way the pic is. Unfortunately the only way that I'm getting a better pic is to purchase the coin and take it myself - no guarantees the pic will be better though....

    This coin is in an Anacs holder, and it's the only one that I've seen EVER that isn't net graded for damage, tooling, corrosion, scratch, bent, dent, porous, etc! image

    If you have photo-processing software, you can down load it and fix the picture a little. Here's an example:

    The coin looks sort of "crusty" to me with minutely porus surfaces and so-so eye appeal. But if it's cheap enough and you really want one, it could OK.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible.     Nice call, Anacs F15 with no NET grading! Again, the first I've seen.

    Definitely go for it! Any early copper is tought to find non-net. Looks like it's probably a nice coin.

    Seriously consider it if the surfaces are clean. They had lots of problem with the quality of the metal used in making these coins.
