Well if they're under 50kb you can see them. Today was great at the show. Here's my review of the show.
Let me first start by saying for a local show, they're were quite a few dealers and buyers, this is at the 12:30-1:00 time frame I was there. I noticed, a lot of talk was going on secertly between dealers and buyers, like crazy. I don't know if that's normal, but I saw quite a bit of it. I spoke with my fathers' high school buddy, he told me to keep buying Morgans like crazy, but I told him I had been unsatisfied with that series and moved on to capped bust half dimes and civil war tokens, he wasn't too happy with me. He had just bought an 1883-CC in what looked like AU-50 for $140 and sold it for $225 right there in front of me! Another guy while I was asking for cwt's spent $3,700 on a Franklin half, that I couldn't believe. I was told by a lot of the dealers, that keys are hotter than ever now, and keep going up. They advised me to buy all the keys and semi keys I could afford. I responded with, "im here to collect, not invest." Most gave me a dirty look. I asked about the heat of Morgans and most said that it's actually starting to slow down quite a bit right now, they weren't buying them like they were a few months ago. Like everyone on here told me, they were only going to give me a small fraction of what it was worth, most said they'd give me %40, that's ridicoulus, im not stupid, I mean, come on, im a collector too. As for what I look for, civil war tokens, they had three at the entire show, which was nice. However, they were complete crap coins, barely readable and common as could be, even though I only own two now, I wasn't going to buy cleaned and corroded common varieties. So I decided to say no on that one.
Here's the paragraph on what I bought! I went over to a table by Fuba Coins, Link, a company based in Indiana. They happend to have six Capped Bust half dimes for sale. Naturally I had to take a look, gawk if you will. They had an 1836 and a 1835, both dates I already own, no sense of getting them again, didn't even have the money for those babies. They also had an 1830 for $180 in mint state, it was a beautiful coin. I tried to work some kind of deal with my parents to borrow money, but they didn't think that would be a good idea. They had a 1837 in about good, not something I want, price didn't even look good. But I came upon two beauties, an 1830 and an 1832. I will try to post pics of them, I hope they work, I think they look great. Im not going to tell anyone what I paid for them however, you can comment on what you would have paid, based on the pics. Any questions on what was at the show, feel free to ask, I noticed pretty much everything that was there. Just checked, they're too many KB's i'll have to find some way to work with them, they're only 10 over.

<< <i>Is it normal for the top of the 5 on the reverse to be broken off like that? >>
Yes, that is the way they are supposed to look.

<< <i>Nice coins but they both have been cleaned.

Actually I asked multiple dealers and they said they were positive that the 1832 had not been cleaned, and almost certain the 1830 had not been. I had speculation the 1830 did, but I asked many fellow dealers, my fathers friend, and some grading expert guy who was there and they agreed that it wasn't cleaned. But if it had been, still looks sweet, and I got them cheaper than I would have though, so im happy.

The 32 could be original.
Just my thoughts from the images.
Civil war tokens will show up in small and large bunches. Don't be afraid to
hold out until the right ones show up. You'll be glad you did.

I don't see a cud....... maybe a die gouge, but I'd bet it's just something on the 2x2...

No, not unless you don't like coins with cuds.

Yeah it looks like I don't clean those insides too well. I think its a die gouge though, still doesn't bother me too much, I don't think it bothers me at all.
