Post a Morgan or Peace Dollar Toner

All four of these NGC(pre-star) Morgan toners have been in my collection for a while now. The reverses are basically white, so I only photographed the obverses. I might try to get a few of these in a NGC star holder..is it worth the try?

Very nice. Only worth trying for the * if you plan on selling them or in a registry set. Otherwise they look just fine in their current holders.

All great coins Paul - but fellas, trust me - that 1880 (S) is one helluva knockout! Not only does it have great color - but it's a prooflike as well!

From top to bottom, they are: 1878 - S, 1886 - P, and 1922 - D. The Peace Dollar exactually has a small band of rainbow color on the rim between the " I " and " B " and is on the Tiarra too when shifted around at different angles.

Here are a few toners for you, including an 1884-CC PCGS MS66 (thanks lablover), a beautiful 1888-O PCGS MS65, a rare 1893-CC PCGS MS63 with end roll toning, and a 1900-O PCGS MS66 (thanks Tassa !!):

Tonekiller also sold me a beautiful 1887 PCGS MS65, a common date for toners, but an uncommonly attractive coin. Pictured below is this stunning 1887-P, along with three rare dates. The point is, for the rarer dates, you may not be able to find wild rainbow mint bag toning, and you have to search hard to find nice original toned coins. These are a rare gem 1883-S PCGS MS65, an 1894-O PCGS MS64, and an amazing 1904 PCGS MS65 (bet you it goes into a 66 holder someday). By the way, the '83-S is way nicer in person, very lively and lustrous, with thick "skin" (never dipped), and patches of rose and turquoise.
