I picked this up tonight just because I thought that it was very pretty 1887 Morgan Dollar.
I haven't hosted a "Guess the Grade" in a while, but thought that this one may be fun... What do you think??

I am going to go with my gut instinct and say a MS-63!
Most of you guys think its a 64/65 but it looks more like a 63/64 to me.... I gotta go 63 all the way....
Cool Coin for guess the grade.

By no means am I an expert at this.... I only have 10 years expierence working with the stuff....
although I will say.... Morgans were never my favorite to grade so when most of them came through I let my co-workers do em..... I usually kept with commems. and the smaller coins....
However note that I said: 63/64..... I was just trying to state that it was definitly NOT a 65.... I would agree that a 64 is possible for this coin.... but I will still go with my original educated guess of 63.
We will all know soon enough.

It looks like a nice 63. I have seen a ton of nicer 87 Morgans, though this not unnatttractive. If exceptional in person it might make 64, but I see a lot of chatter and a little much going on on both sides for MS64 in my book.
Best,
Billy
I am anxious to see the results.....

The coin grade is PCGS MS-64, and I felt it was a good pickup for $50 incl S/H/I.
I liked it primarily because of the strong strike, strong mint luster (Perhaps Semi-PL), and the nice clash marks on the obverse.
