Found a little over a month ago (it's an 1850- the picture shows the coin as it was found, pre-cleaning.)
Here's my best large cent- the only other dug one I have is a totally corroded Draped Bust.
Two of my scariest Indians- the one on the left is 1860-something (bronze).
And a much nicer dug Indian, shown here midway through cleaning (the green stuff is pretty much gone now). To my surprise, this coin won the Detecting Forum's Best Coin award for last month, though I thought IndianHeadMan's 1888 Seated dime should have won.
Very cool finds Lord, the 1890 is in remarkable shape for a dug up copper from the 19th Century. Looks like it was barely circulated before it was lost.
