Just joined last month and borrowed some videos. The librarians were also very friendly and helpful (both through email and over the phone)!! Just read throughThe Numismatist today. I already feel that I've received my money's worth!image

<< <i>I wouldn't join any organization that would have me as a member. >>

For a couple of years, this favorite Groucho Marx quote was my sig file. I renewed my ANA membership recently when I saw that they were again getting serious about consumer protection and started to raise a legal defense fund to help members sued by less-than-reputable coin graders/dealers.

I did not renew my membership when ANA would have ACG as members. However, I'd join a club full of wisecrackers like Groucho Marx.

Life member. They are the best educational organization in our hobby. And they have the most extensive numismatic library available to the public.

I first joined the ANA in the 1960's. Then for some nutty reason, I was a member for approximately one out of every five until 1997 when I said enough is enough and became a life member.

    Never regretted it since.

  • You bet. My daughter and I are members. YN programs are especially helpful.
  • I voted no but will look into it after seeing the responces.

I was, roughly 1979 - 1991. Just got back into the hobby seriously last winter, had been thinking I ought to join again... this is pushing me toward getting off my keister and doing so... any organization that gives like-minded numbers of little guys some clout is a good thing, IMO.
