Here`s two scans of the same coin I just picked up this week. A 1878 - S graded MS64. The reverse doesn`t do it justice in these scans. The luster jumps out and the orange color looks more like a rust color then orange. Through the central and top center of the reverse is blue that leans towards aqua though not a true aqua.
heres a pic of a 1934 wheatie i have, would you consider this an error?
No, that's not an error. Ever seen a 1941 slant 1? Well it was a varriety that surface back in the 40's where the second 1 was actually slanted. The search was on... no one could seem to find a nice unc one. They eventually found out that the one was "hit" and caused to "Slant" when the coins were mechanicly wraped with some sort of coin rapper. The same hits occured on the last number of other dates causing parts of the numbers to get removed. Then throw in a ten or twenty years of circulation.... wa-la... looks like an error.
As far as my pic post goes. This is my cent set, along with a few extras:
There's a 140 coins in the basic no-varrieties Lincoln set. My set isnt even complete. I'm missing about 10 or 12 right now. Next week, I'll start the big sell off and they'll mostly be gone. I havent decided if I'm going to keep the early ones or not. I guess I'll know in a few weeks.....

But hey... it's a $3 gold piece!
A favorite off my hat.
That is WAY cool! PF06 was the lowest proof I'd previously seen. Think it was a Gobrecht dollar.
I love it -- PR 2!!!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

You can not post those Morgan Patterns too often. Beautiful.
