Long-term storage for those of us who dont want to slab

I have some common proof coins that I'd like to keep nice and safe in their current condition. Is there a cheap but effective solution for storing them long term? I.E., Whitman 2x2 plastic holders, kointains, etc?

Thanks.

In 2x2s, in a dry, enclosed area containing silica gel which is replaced/recharged regularly.

I have stored many raw coins in whitman snaps (2x2 plastics) for years (over ten for some) and I feel the solution is an excellent one.

I recommend Air-Tites. You can get them Here

I have also used Airtites and 2 x 2's and recommend them both. While the Airtites look "classier" the are more expensive than 2 x 2's.
Kointainers are also pretty good but sometimes I have gotten some bad halves that don't quite fit right.

I agree JP's is a good place to buy them from...good, fast service.imageLink
