Whatever name you are known by, whatever company you may work for--it matters not to me. Your good character and your sterling honesty go with you regardless... and that's enough for me.
Mark, even though I rarely reply to your threads, I find your input helpful, thoughtful, and even entertaining. Keep us informed of how your going solo works out.
That's great for you, Mark, but a huge loss for Pinnacle. They are a great company and will survive. However, I know I will look your way when both buying and selling.
Frankly Mark I'm sort of at a loss for words with all the kind things here that's been said about you.... But let me add my congratulations and I wish you all of the luck and good fortune in the world with your new venture.
Over the last 7 years or so you and the folks at Pinnacle have given me nothing but the best of service, and advice on my collecting, and in helping me acquire some of finest Walking Liberty half dollars, and other coins that can be found....... I hope to be able to continue my relationship with the both of you now and in the future.
Congratulations Mark! You've sold me some wonderful coins through Pinnacle. Your expertise, eye for beautiful coins, honesty, wonderful disposition, and all around helpfulness have helped me immeasuably in building my collection. I've run into very few in the "profession" that care as much about the collector as you do.
We are finite beings, limited in all our powers, and, hence, our conclusions are not only relative, but they should ever be held subject to correction. Positive assurance is unattainable. The dogmatist is the only one who claims to possess absolute certainty.
You are a class act indeed ....the number of forum members wishing you well is a testement to your super behavior and selfless time devoted to so many.
Thanks again for all of your extremely kind posts.
A number of you have asked about my specific plans, including a website, tables at shows, wholesale vs. retail business, potential partnerships, etc.
Please PM me if you would like to know the specifics - there is nothing secretive about my venture but I don't feel that I should discuss (as in spam) the details on the forum
I had the pleasure of working with Mr Feld for a couple of years, and enjoyed it very much. I can't think of a better first post here than to wish him all of the luck in the world!

Where did all that hair come from? Was that picture taken when you started @ NGC?
(Sorry I couldn't resist after your comment yesterday)
As I have said privately, I think you will be sorely missed by Pinnacle. Big mistake letting you go. They are a class act though.
Goodluck, but I doubt with your reputation, integrity, work-ethic and eye for great coins, you will need it. (See I left out personality)
Let me know when Mark's Neighborhood Coin Shop opens I'll come down to San Diego to buy a circulated Buffalo or two.
