  • The tape was to hold them up at angles! The pictures are dark, they look ten times better than this in person!

Aren't those dates very common, and inexpensive?image

Relatively speaking they are common and inexpensive - at least the ones I buy are, but in the condition of the ones displayed and PCGS slabbed are fairly hard to come by.

I bought one of each of the 1971-73. I don't even look for them any more, though they are indeed nice to look at.

Nice coins, WSM. But, since you ask the question, in truth I've seen quite a lot of obverses like those.

And that first 73 has a real familiar look.

I actually surprised to see 71-73 in the original case that arent toned.

Pretty coins. I have a dozen nice toners of those years and grabbed a few more this weekend and I dont tire of them. Granted they arent worth much but they are a pleasure to look at if you like toning. The RCM created monster toning machines with those foam inserts.

OOC - is SP68 the highest grade PCGS has assigned on these years? Impressive given that the black holders for those years lets the coins pop out rather easy.

  • 1971 S$1- can't the guys read? I'm suprised by the number of PCGS Canadians with incorrect id-ing!

The '73 third from the left does show some interesting colors.

2000? Hopefully, you haven't slabbed them all. David Hall has to love you. image
