I think the toning is kind of questionable (mainly considering I have never seen a natural one that looks like this), but it looks like a pretty decent half.
  • Well, overall, a nice obverse strike. Interesting doubling on the date. Looks pretty weak on the obverse, which seems odd cause the obverse is so crisp. I guess the die marriage did it.

Nicely toned, but....it's not looking so NT on the reverse as it's the same color all over. NT doesn't usually look this way. Toning around the date on the obverse looks a bit suspect too. I dunno. Sorry. You asked for an opinion, and it's my honest one.

well, this morning it looks to me like a gold coin.

    was it treated you think?

does it weigh the same as a non-goldtoned WL?

maybe it was dipped in a gold-ladened jewelluster dip?
if so, the weigh differential might be so miniscule it may not be noticable.....

  • What's that wear on the '1' in the date? Is that normal?

I don't know if this is a show off newp thread or ask advice thread and might hurt your feelings but anyway it looks circulated & AT to me.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
