Long Beach Show Goal Achieved! Archduke Max Inside

Hello all,

Some of you may recall me saying that at the next Long Beach coin show I wanted to pick up an archduke thaler. Mission accomplished, have a look:
image

Archduke thalers come in three names: Leopold, Ferdinand and Maximillian, and I thought it would be neat to have one of each archduke. Thus I'm one third of the way done. I also saw a very nice Leopold, and I'm considering selling some US coins to replenish my depleated coin fund to add another Archduke.

I spent the entire day walking the floor and looking at coins today so I have no energy to compose my usual historical writeup tonight.

Probably true. However, if you really want a long running thread ask me about Ferdinand II or Charles VI!

Thanks for all the replies, I'm overwhelmed by the response!

Just for fun here are some legend translations:
"MAXIMILIimageG:ARC:AVimageVX:BVR:STIR:CARN" = "Maximilian, By the Grace of God, Archduke of Austria, Duke of Burgundy, Styria, Carinthia"

"ET:CARN:MAGimageRVSS:AD:COM:H:ET:TIRO" = And Carinthia, Grandmaster of the Teutonic Order, Count of Hapsburg and Tyrol"

Carinthia must have been his favorite as it double billed on the coin.image
