I'd like a list of names of the negative posters, so I will know who they are. I have noticed who they are by reading their posts. What I'd really like to know is who will get in the last word in this thread keets or agentjim?image

  • << <i>After reading many of the posts I have to add that constructive criticism is easliy misunderstood as negative criticism, but somtimes that is caused by the way the person presents his/her viewpoint.

This Forum would be mighty boooooring if everybody agreed with everybody on everything. If by negative, you mean that people honestly voice their opinions which often maybe in disagreement with other's opinions, I say, bring on the negativity.

If, on the other hand, by negative you mean the people who are always looking for a reason to crap on someone or something, well, this Forum is a microcosm of the world out there. That's a much bigger question and it calls for some psychological insights which are beyond my professional capabilities. Do we have any shrinks on here who can enlighten us on negativity for negativity's sake? It DOES seem to be on the increase in the world out there.

Agree, this is NOT what I'm talking about.

People on the Forum are like magnets,

you got your positive pole and your negetive pole.

Now some folks are negetive as in"I think you are an idiot"

Other folks are positive "I am positive that you are an idiot"

Some folks are open minded, "You may or may not be an idiot".

Some folks are hesitent, " I dont think I would call you an idiot"

Some folks are mean, you are without a doubt the all time number one idiot"

Some are kind," you are a pleasent sort of an idiot".

Some are regretful,"I feel just awful having to call you an idiot".

Some are sarcastic,You are an even bigger idiot then you appear."

Some are humerous," remember, an idiot spelled backwards is only a toidi".

Some are intellectual,If we look at the lower range of sub par intellect, we have
the idiot, imbicile and the moron. You have the dubious honor of being at the lowest
third of the list, you idiot.

  • With regard to the original question of "why so negative"....

There are many people who make nothing of their lives, are young enough to change and old enough to know that they're not going to and wise enough to realize that the one life they have been given is and will be sqandered. They serve a very important role - the role of being a bad example. We need them so that our children and others can learn not through experience but vicariously.

One last thought.....negativity can be unlearned, however, the state of being negatively oriented is a barrier to positive change.

  • I haven't smoked anything fun for almost 13 years. I may, however, after i retire, seriously consider moving to Jamaica where i can resume activities that are relaxing including gardening, harvesting and the consumption of relaxing things.

  • By the way, Bear, i really liked your analysis.
  • Positive? I`ll give you positive!

    paraquat ! paraquat ?

that was that bad 100,000 kilo harvest the feds got most of back in 77 or 8 out of me'heco
that was bunk bud with bad pestiside for 10 bux an ounce....was even refered to in high times back in 77 or 78 as well as being the reject bud harvest of the century....it was burned on national news with dea agents getting ripped to the max in the mega sworm of smoke....those agents probably have a primed up class action with the right lawyer involved because they uh,er..."inhaled" the most of it....heh heh..

    i'll pass.....

now on the other hand the straight from columbia true redbud or gold bud of the 70's days along with the panama redbud same time frame as well as thai sticks from thai-bud straight from taiwan was THE stuff if'n you were in the know...it was quite expensive even back then, so i hear anyway...couldnt say fer sure
of the day...all old heads know the gigs....cant say i wasnt cant say i was, just very knowledgeable.heh

<< <i>There are many people who make nothing of their lives >>

i think much of that depends on what your motives are. not everyone cares about making enough $ to move to jamaica. some people's biggest goal in life is to coach their middle-school softball team to a winning record. i see nothing wrong w/ that.
