I make sure that I invest for my retirement each month, though, before I spend anything on coins.

Selling is harder because I don't have the heart to let the coins go!

My wife knows I spent more than $100 on coins last year, but actually I spent....
I also dropped a good sum in december to raise that amount
This is fun. I can slab a 2003 quarter, sell it, and buy an AU58 Bust or Seated Half with the proceeds!

I spent a whopping $350 or so. But I dont have the convenience of a dealer nearby. If I did...it'd be more.

to that level there are thousands of collectors that do just think about the FUN show and auctions 30 million in auction alone
takes some deep pockets to get to those numbers. I would think that there are at least a couple dozen lukers or active people
on this board alone that spend over 6 figures a year on coins both for enjoyment and investment, but are afraid to post
that they spend that much. Just look at the coins that are shown here in other threads.
Part of what I like about this place is that I can be around real collectors both high dollar people and people like me that try
to put together ciculated sets. I find it real enjoyable to listen to stories from shows and read about people that are movers
and shakers in the industry.

I won't be spending that kind of $$$$ this year I can assure you of that. FWIW I am a chemist (no I don't make recreational chemicals).

Depend on the stock market performance, I spent much more in 1998, 1999 and 2003 compared to year 2000-2002. Last year, stock market went up almost 50% and I believe my spending is in 6 digits.
I'll be spending 8 bazillion dollars - as soon as I get a job.
