  • Hmm... SHOULD I accept the offer? I wasn't expecting an offer on the whole collection image
  • There were some coins I didn't post as well. Plus I want to be fair to the others as well. hmmm... dilema!
  • Well, if you need the money quick then accept the offer, but the auction could get you more money...

  • Well, I don't need the money pronto. Just overwhelmed by an initial offer I guess.

Well, you could run the auction akin to the ultra-highend proof sets, that is, obtain a high bid for each of the 17 lots, and then at the end, total the 17 different bids, add 10% then, and see if anyone desires to take that combined bid for the whole lot. Of course, others could still silent bid at that point for the entire group.
  • There. We're back on. Now with 2 more coins.

I had concerns about sending that much stuff to the US in one package, too.

Some nice coins here! Good luck to all the bidders! image

  • Does the winning bid for each coin also get your original photos of that coin?

Can we get them printed and autographed for an extra fee?

Seriously ... some nice coins, I could never part with one or two of them! Bids to come over the weekend.

  • Those are some great coins there. PM sent.

  • No, USD. I should've made that clear I guess.
  • Did you edit out the phrase about no sniping, or was that in my mind?
So does that mean we can snipe, based on the PCGS time of our PM?

  • Yes, you may snipe.
I didn't think I could prevent any sniping so I took out that disclaimer. But please PLEASE keep in mind that I can't update the thread very fast.

Hmmmm..... bidding strategy based on "no sniping" now in co*ked hat. Must keep fingers crossed.image

You know I'm getting sick and tired of not being able to type normal english words, part of which if left standing alone might be construed as dangerous.

That means I can't say, Co*k your gun
    the co*k crowed at sunrise
or anything similar. But I can say "Mon doigt dans ton cue" which if I used with a burly french dock worker would land me in the hospital right quick.

  • I don't think sniping will be very successful in this case because things aren't updated automatically. For instance if I get a number of bids 5 or 10 minutes before the end of the auction it'll take me a while to get the thread prices updated and if I can't get things updated in time any snipe might be pointless.
I asked that things be civil in this auction and it has been so far.

  • Things have calmed down since I stated you can snipe. Certainly calmed things down! Which is good because maintaining this thing is harder than I anticipated.

I have no idea how many PMs I got today. Dozens I wager.

  • 3 hours to go.
  • We're in the final hour of the auction. I accept payment in the form of cash (preferred) or a USPS international money order (make certain it's an international money order).

I will wait until your money has arrived and cleared before I send the coin if I don't really know you that well.
