This is the first time I have ever knowingly bid against another forum member. But, actually that isn't the way I'd like to look at it. I wasn't bidding against a forum member--I was bidding for a coin I wanted.

I have to say that I didn't really enjoy the experience.

I thought about it a long time. That I placed the bid is an indication the coin was important to me.

Bill, the amount you bid would not have won in a snipe anyway. If it's any comfort, neither would the max I was willing to spend on it have won for it was not equal to yours.

Congrats to you too python for a nice find and sharing ; the coin ended up in a member's collection,who made it very clear that it meant enough to him,as to outbid other members.As a matter of fact,these were the exact same words of Askari,in a PM we've exchanged about it,before Clankeye's reply. This forum proves once again its nice vibe,let alone that it will be (virtually) shared for the benefit of all
