Carlos...this is my first ever post to the CU message boards...yeah a newbie. I have collected for MANY years and have met many wonderful people in my collecting travels, I do not know you, have never spoken to you, but my heart has been touched by the temendous outpouring or love and respect for you and your unfortunate situation...please consider me and my family as "in" for it least 25 bones, an most probably more. I am a great fan of this forum, I have learned a great deal in a short period of time and take great pleasure in the fact that you have provided a great deal of knowledge to me and other on this board. Again, I have watched for a long time, and held my tongue, but now is time to act! Even though I do not personally know Carlos I have dealt with him once or twice in the past and I would have to say that he is one of my favorite people to read on this board. EVERYPERSON that collects cards (or anything for that matter) should appreciate not wanting to sell their prized collection just to pay unexpected medical bills.

I'm sending $20 and wishing it could be $20000. Been there with the medical bills with my son. Hopefully you won't have to sell the set, but if you do, then do what you have to do. For anyone who doesn't know him, Carlos is an avid collector of baseball, football and basketball sets, having built many incredible sets. He was one of the first of a small handful of people crazy enough to actually buy graded commons. He was also one of the first to complete the massive 1972 Topps baseball set. If I'm not mistaken, I believe he also played professional basketball in Europe. He would certainly be elected to the collector's HOF if there was such a thing.

I am another occasional member who does not know you personally, but I know from experience within my family that fighting cancer is a lot easier if you don't have other worries as well. My donation from the UK is on it's way by Paypal. Keep fighting and stay positive and don't sell the cards.
