ONLY $1,525 for this 1799 Silver Dollar

The auction has now closed.
Did the lucky bidder pay only $1,525 for a 1799 Silver Dollar?
Or is there a hidden message in the seller's description of the coin offered? SELLING AS FOUND. BEEN CLEANING OUT A ESTATE AND FOUND THIS ONE. BUY IT FOR WHAT YOU THINK IT IS.
1799 Silver Dollar???
What do you think?

I can only hope the buyer got some type of return privilege, but from the wording in the auction I doubt that was offered.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
a silver round that looks kinda okay
reeded edge and wrong hairdoe and missing lines in the shield on the reverse give it away for what it is.
maybe I should sell mine like that.
I think you hit the nail on the head. I "know" someone who contacted the bidders when the coin was last offered for sale.

Ugh.
Too bad we can't have a closer look. I'd love to see if the "R" in LIBERTY is broken. Something tells me the picture was shot at arms-length for a reason...
Correction; it's things like this why I don't ever look to buy a coin on E-bay in the first place.
