Coin World and Soft Porn, oh my!!!---or who's Doris Doscher??

Man, I sure hope Cameron doesn't get his boxers in a bunch about this being off topic and alert the thread police!! Did anyone else see the CW article in the June 16th issue? What's the world coming to these days?image

    it had to do with who the actual model was for the SLQ. i guess there was some controversy with 2 women claiming to have posed. evidently there are some new documents which tend to show Ms. Doscher as having been the principal after which the lovely coin was made. there is a magizine article pictured which shows ger in a pose similar to the final design, exposed right breast and all.

    Geeze......in an earlier thread last night i used this icon on the thread about the 3 boob seated dime on ebay (and stated two had always been enough for me!).......and Carol seems to have made it go away! I hope it wasn't this icon that made it happen.........maybe just the thread title....

    I'll haven't read the article yet, but I plan to as soon as I can find an issue. I still think it's quite possible that MacNeil combined the features of two models, Doscher and Irene Macdowell. I don't suppose anyone could scan the picture in the article, could they?
