What do you guys think of this eagle depiction?

This is by far one of my favorite depictions of the eagle. I think its very majestic.
I just picked it up on Ebay. Nice BIN also.
Any thoughts on it?

I like it. I think it'd make a great reverse for a coin

That's always been one of my favorite eagle depictions, along with Gobrecht's flying eagle depiction on the experimental dollars of 1836-39.

I like the bald eagle too, but for goodness sake its a raptor. It eats mice, snakes, squirrels,

rabbits and even a McDonalds Quarter pounder if it can get its claws on one.image

That's a stunning eagle and a beautiful coin. Some eagles to compare it to.
  • That is my favorite modern commem due in large part to the ornithologically correct eagle.image There are several other modern commems with nice eagles as well. I particularly like the renditions on the P.O.W. Silver Dollar and the U.S. Constitution Gold $5.

The 83' Olympic Commemorative is also nice and can be had inexpensively! The wing feathers are impressive as they so sharp as to cut your finger on a strong strike.

This is nice, I have the MS version in PCGS MS69, but I have to agree with berylcoin, the eagle on the $5 gold constitution coin is my favorite.

How about this fellow? He was buried in with the totally over blown set that was sold for the Atlanta Olympics.

    I like that eagle, Brian.

Shylock--that is a very cool page you've put together with all those depictions. I've heard it said that the Bridgeport commemorative eagle you have at the bottom left looks like a giant shark.

I like the eagle on the reverse of the Lincoln commem. I don't think I saw it there.
