This is probably the most valuable according to published price. A nice solid PCGS MS66FBL. image

I've shown my #1 coin, a 1792 half disme, a number of times. So here's my current #2. This lady is hanging on to #2 by her finger nails. Another boost in the early coin market could put her well down the list! She's a PCGS MS-63, which is exactly the right grade for her.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I had no idea these could be so nice. It looks fully proof with the 100% strike
and square rims. It's good to see Goodacre got a lot more than $5000 for all
    those great designs she made.

The burnished look is really nice, too!

This is by far NOT the prettiest coin in my collection, but due to it's condtion rarity, it is the most expensive. Below is a 1951D MS66FBL half which currently has a pop of only 22 coins with none higher. The coin is what I would call a "technical" MS66FBL. All the technical features are there. However the toning is typical mintset and somewhat dark - whatcha gonna do huh? image

Wow, some incredible coins. The digital age is the best thing that ever happened to the coin collecting community, it's amazing how this forum has progressed in that area over the past year.

I went to the Heritage archive from the spring of 2001 to find the images of the 92 S barber half i baught from them, the space for the obverse and reverse where still there, but no pictures ?

There were a series of numbers there but i have no idea if that means the pictures can be retrieved.

    It's to bad i don't have a p.c. or I'd post the pictures here.

I always enjoy picture threads to see everyones favorites, but if you notice, not many have responded to the spirit of this thread, " posting pictures of your most expensive coin" so, Laura, lets see that 1913 nickle, T.D.N., lets see your most expensive trade dollar, Bear, lets see the best you've baught this year, etc....
