<< <i>Forget the fact that Germany (and virtually every other country in the world) have refused to be pulled into Bush's folly. >>

Abuell- At current count, there are eighteen (18) European countries alone that have alligned themselves with the US.

The Frogs and Germans are truly OLD Europe and are of little consequence.

Let's not forget who supplied the nuclear reactor destroyed in 1982 by the Israelis. The French.

When we get to Baghdad and find all the records of all the weapons sold to Iraq by France, we will have no further problems with the French for the next 100 years. We will be able to hold that little hole card for the future. If they ever get out of line again, the threat to reveal such information will quickly bring them back in line.

<< <i>That would be pretty funny. I don't know how to do overlays in Adobe Photoshop. >>

Open both pictures in Photoshop. Click on the coin pic hit CTL-A to select the entire image. Use the Move tool to move it to your tower pic. Then, go to the layers palette, and put the tower layer on top of the coin layer (just drag it up the list). Adjust the transparency of the tower layer, until you get the desired effect. That should do it.

Adrian, if what I said didn't make sense, just post both pics, and I'll do it when I get home from work later today.
  • Bush's folley??? The man has enough nuts to stand for and do what is right. And lets get the facts straight. Out of all the countries in the world France, Germany, Russia, and maybe China are not with us, 6 are on the fence and the REST (80+) are WITH US....
  • >>I read somewhere that the primary reason(s) that France and Russia strongly oppose the demise of the current Iraqi regime via force is because they are both significant suppliers of weapons and biological and chemical materials used to produce weapons to Iraq. Can anyone confirm if this is fact? >>

This IS CORRECT, and has already started to be uncovered. I told my wife a month ago when these wimps started to toss out their rhetoric. I bet her $20 that after we get in there and clean up the crap, we'll find that France, Russia, and Germany were supplying Iraq with supplies and weapons that were BANNED. We already know for fact that France is guilty of this in that they are currently selling restricted aircraft and weapons parts to Iraq.

  • I will only add a couple of comments. First the SARIN, and VX that he has in his Chemical Arsenal make Anthrax seem like a childs toy.

The only way to bring stability to the Middle East is to dissuade government leaders from paying the families of suicide bombers $25,000 every time they complete one of their missions.

Saadam is a tyrant plain and simple...he has to go!

The UN is dead and we need to leave...They can start one in Algeria if they want to. The world community, especially the French, the Germans and the Russians are basking in trying to embarrass the US.

One does have to remember that without the help of the French, we WOULD HAVE lost the revolution! Study the battle of Yorktown. Did you hear on the radio about the Canadians when the Prime Minister spoke to their "congress"? Now don't get me wrong, I do believe the French are a bit of wusses, but everyone has their own opinion. The Mexicans are very opposed to an Iraqi war. The Japanese are all for us, the Poles are sending Troops! Turkey wanted to blackmail us. The Austrailians are sending troops. The whole world is divided, it is not just the French.

The French have long yearned to be the world’s super power. The trouble is after the days of Charlemagne there has always been someone in their way. First it was the British who kicked them out of the North America in the mid 1700s. Then it was the Germans who kicked their butts in the Franco-Prussian War and again in World War II. Now the US is in their way to “power and glory.”

Using the European Union as a platform, the French would like to be the dominant factor in the EU in leading a challenge to US leadership. The liberals constantly talk about Iraqi oil and the desire on the part of the US to get it. Actually it’s the French who have the big oil stake in Iraq and that’s the economic reason for their non-cooperation. The political reason is that they would like to tie the US’ hands in dealing with Iraq. The net result of what they have done may well be to marginalize the UN Security Council and the UN in general.

Pompous, arrogant fools currently lead the French Government. But that’s not unusual. 40 years ago, Charles De Gaul was just as big an ass. Perhaps the need to make a fool of yourself and your country is a genetic requirement to become the French president.

Yes tjkillian, the French did help us a Yorktown, but that was get back at their British enemies, not to strike a blow for democracy. Then in the 1799 the French tried to extract a bribe from us in an incident that became known as the XYZ Affair, and we were almost foolish enough to go to war with them.

French help during the American Revolution was for THEIR benefit, not ours.
