Even soccer moms are becoming coin doctors...

She's been listing a bunch of this junk lately. This one is also a spammer. Got one those "CC'd from hell" eMails from her a couple days ago. Culled my address from when I once used the ask seller a question feature.

But Russ, nowhere in her auction does she claim they are original! So this should be a perfectly legitimate auction, right? Never mind those coins have only been out for a few weeks.

I really love this line- "REMEMBER YOUR BID IS GOING TO A FAMLIY WITH KIDS. NO SMOKING, DRINKING OR DRUGS IN THIS HOUSE ." I could care less if a seller lived in a house with ten crack heads, as long as I get what I paid for.

Uuuugggghhhh! STOP THE INSANITY! What now, Cub Scouts/ Girl Scouts are going to go door to door selling toned coins! Coin Doctoring will be a patch for them to get!

What the hell is a "scrunchie"? I thought was what we did to kids that were stupid enough to allow their BVDs to peek up above their jeans in the back.

Sorry, I don't have any coins for sale right now.

  • At the end of the auction, she says "God bless you..." Doesn't that make it OK?
I once won an auction from a guy that had "praise Jesus" remarks in the auction so I felt pretty good about it. After the auction closed and I won, I got an e-mail like "Pay me now or I WILL leave you negative feedback and make sure that you are ruined as an eBay member." I paid and the coin wasn't bad. Ever since then, I'm kind of leary of anyone blessing me or praising Jesus in their auctions.
    I have icon envy.

or, if you prefer, the no rinse jewel-luster dip laid out in the open air for say 7-10 days...same effect...

    Shocker,

The only time I've ever actually been ripped off by a buyer was a guy who claimed he was a Reverend. He eMails me to tell me he's sending payment that day, and his shipping address had "Rev." in front of his name.

It was a cheap coin, and he said payment was mailed, so I figured what the hell and shipped it out before payment came it. He never paid. His eBay handle is "bisoncard".

Nah, "wedgie" is modern. Back in my day it was a "howdy" or a "snuggie".
Successful BST transactions: EagleEye, Christos, Proofmorgan,

Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you sumthin' . . . . that ain't no optical illusion, it only looks like an optical illusion.

Wow, the TV coin hawkers should hire this woman, what a load of hype!
  • I emailed her about the toning and this is her reply..

"i bought these at a flea market .
i dont know how they got toned .
i would think of this as art.
so if it's a art form it's legal."

Ah, the "bought them at a flea market" response. Is there a manual these doc's use? Well, at least we know she's handy in the kitchen.
