I included this as part of my mother's eulogy. It is one of the most beautiful and reassuring passages I ever have read about death. I hope it is of comfort to coinut's friends and family and anyone faced with the passing of a loved one. The author is Rosamunde Pilcher:
Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Richard was one of my first contacts on these boards when I won one of his giveaways. In our handful of subsequent dealings his sense of humor was always a pleasure. We shared with each other San Diego roots and his family was always the topic.
I,m still in shock over Dom,s passing now I hear of Coinut. I very seldom leave the open forum so thanks for posting this or the link there. I,m verry sorrv to hear of this. My condolences to his family. Madeddie, I,m glad you brought some sunshine into his life also.

Dixiedandee, Coinut, and Dom!! This is so awfully sad!! We were young once ... weren't we supposed to live forever?? And all I have to offer is my prayers for their loved ones and the memories of times gone by...
