Dialup choking images here:
Monster sized obverse image.
Monster sized reverse image.
Very clean, smooth surfaces on this one with very few nicks anywhere on the coin. The red is a little light, but nonetheless adequate for the designation. Strike is a bit weak, which is probably why it's in a 64 holder. NOTE: The "W" in We is not flat as it appears in the pic. There is a major gouge in the slab in that location, and I couldn't get it polished off.
This coin also has a couple cool and prominent die cracks. One on the obverse that runs from the tip of the left leaves all the way past the one in the date and down to the rim. The other is a shorter one that runs through "STA" in States on the reverse.
It's a PCGS MS64 RB that I picked up for $190 plus juice. When it closed that low I was worried that there might be something major wrong with it. Now that I have it in hand, I think I stole it at that price.
Enjoy.

I have run into that a lot lately. Great coin, Russ. It bugs me more and more to be looking at a cool coin and trying to get a good view through a gouged and scratchy slab. But... small grips. When you get a great coin at that price... live with it.
Way to go.

You are correct.

Nice acquisition. However, I should warn you that classics are a terrible segment of the U.S. coin market to venture into. Stick to moderns, and sell me your 2-center.

Only Two Centers are a terrible segment. I'm only buying them because I'm stupid and like to waste money. Smart collectors should stay away from them.
