At last..............my 1st post. Yaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Hello, I have read these boards for the last 6 weeks or so. I have bought coins in many venues, and from many members of these boards with no problems.
While reading before I joined, I began to recognize certain members'
posts. What seems funny, is while reading them, each of these posts seemed to develop a voice that spoke as I read. No, I am still sane. Really, I am.
Little did I know, that there would be a delay of a few days before I could post. It did however, give me more time to decide what I would initially say. I'll admit, I really enjoyed the threads that some
uptight people were agast over. Oh, the humanity.........
While we all don't agree, we need to agree to disagree. It would be pretty mundane if we all shared the same thoughts. For instance, I don't think some trolled members are trolls. If someone doesn't want to hear an answer, don't ask the question. Especially, if they might not be able to handle what they might not be able to absorb. Now, mind you, there are civilities to address.
I wonder why there are threads complaining about other threads.
Last I checked , it was still an open forum. If the banter that is the spice of conversation, upsets someone's fragile sensibilities, don't open the thread! Change the channel! Let the mud fly to the thrower's content.
It still shows, that even in a bloodbath of dogooders vs potstirrers vs
cheats vs whiners vs able-handed killers, there are TWO sides to every story. He said, she said. Put it out in the open.
I don't think a moderator is necessary. Make your own decisions and be your own judge. Its not a hard concept. You know yourself better than anybody else.
I'm not here to throw down the gauntlets. I am saying, this is an open forum. We don't need other people to make decisions we can make on our own, thats all.
I do enjoy my time on these threads. I look forward to adding my 2
cents on subjects.
Circle the wagons, or move em' on. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

As an initiation fee - you'll need to send everyone who posts on your first post one each of those coins you bought at all those venues. I don't make the rules - Bear and Russ do
Welcome!

<< <i>Let me be first to say Welcome Aboard! You are going to fit in just fine. Got any good 19th century Type to swap? >>
Tom - you have to get used to typing with more than two fingers man!

You been talking to my ex-wife?
kaleidoscopic,
Welcome aboard! Got Accented Hairs?

Just wanted to say welcome...
I know that's a pretty lame welcome but I am still new to all this.

Keep stirring!
I appreciate the warm greetings. FC5, in the voices I "heard", you had a gruff voice. BTW, I have some golden chocolate coinage!
Blade, I don't have any 19th Century Type material. I do collect toned coins. White coins are pretty, but something toned just has a
aura of being unique, if that makes sense. I am working on an NGC
Registry Set of quarters. I need about 9 pieces to complete that.
I love toned Mint Sets. I got distracted buying so much, I spread into everything that looked good. I got a ton of stuff to submit.
Of which, 40+ coins were recieved by PCGS on 11/22 and I understand they are nearly complete. My modern submission (21) was a fairly fast turnaround.
When I learn to add pics I will. I'd like to customize my icon. All in due time.
I happen to like clear slabs with toned coins. If PCGS had smaller slabs which were still stackable, I couldn't complain.

Obviously a man of discriminating tastes, K. I too love a good old toned mint set pre 59.
Did you picture my voice as somewhat akin to Sam Elliot when he does the voice overs for the beef commercials?
Clankeye
I always thought Robert Mitchum did a cool job in that role. Sam Elliot
got better roles as he got older.
Believe it or not, some Einstein suggested I was Doops!

happiness are just not done on the Forum. We are a serious, solomn, and forlorn
group of people here. You just will not ever find anything so crude as a sense of humour.
Since you are a newbie, we will let this joyous exuberance get a pass, just this one time.
A very very serious bear!
Camelot
kept wanting to see with all its drama.
I signed up and had to wait a few days for a password. Didn't old adversaries Adams and Jefferson die within hours of each other, with Adams claiming 'At least Jefferson still survives.....'. And that Jefferson had passed earlier?
Bear, jelly doughnuts are cool. I prefer bearclaws!

The Trial is a famous novel by the author Franz Kafka. In it, the main character identified only as "K" is persecuted by an authoritarian state for a crime he can never get them to explain to him. It does not have a happy ending. It has more Ashcroft and secret tribunal's to it, than OJ's or Perry Mason. Ah, but one thing I have sworn is to always leave politics out of the coin forum. I answer only because you asked.
Clankeye
was more a comatose comedy of insufferable pathos, rather then a real dramatic classic.
Camelot
You talk about hearing voices in posts. I'm getting this real Gary Busey vibe from you... a big hearty laugh, a semi-wild look in the eyes, and an attitude of "Well, hell! Let's dance!"
And what's wrong with that, after all?

Clankeye, I'd like to think I'm jolly and boisterous because of the company I keep. I was told when you sleep with the dogs, you get the fleas.
I didn't have a voice for you Clank. I won't lie to you about that. Regarding voices, I think some people might think that's crazy. But, I'll bet the Sun rises in the AM. You can see personalities in one's writings. Youse OK in my book. Busey is a little wild now. The proverbial joker in the deck. So to speak.
