  • Well, you can see how long most people have been here by looking under their icon...it tells the date they've joined.

I too notice people come and go, but don't think much of it. People's interests and spare time change.

I lot of the folks came over from the old board. Don't know when it started. Some here were probably there at it's start. It's hard to drive a collector away for good. I feel many dealers gave up due to some of the flames. It can get a little hot at times but it's a great place to be..

Seriously, I've only been here 8 months so I think I've just graduated to senior newbie status.

It's great to see some of the old faithful stick around.

  • Joined in July 2002, so 7 months for me. Came over because I didn't like the way Coin World ran their board where they monitored every word in every post, and it had to be to their exact liking or it got yanked. I'm not in grade school anymore, I don't need to be monitored like a child. I like this board, one can speak their piece and even stick their foot in their mouth occasionally, and everyone is cool, and doesn't jump down ones throat. Well....at least thats been the experience for me, unless its warranted.

OK, OK, I really came over to see Lucy Bop, and talk about Franklins! Dang... caught again... image
  • Hey cosmo, there you are !! what happened to your zappa icon, wasn't that your trademark?
and to you 56 quarter, this board is far better than coinworld, but as I recall even here
people have been kicked off, (I think)

I don't post too often unless I think there is really a chance to add to the conversation...or there is an obvious piece of humor that can be added. I find that I tend to learn more with my eyes than with my fingers.

I seem to remember placid, early copper, luke, 59d, amwldcoins from the real old CLCT boards back in 1997 and 1998. Anyone else remember? Did I forget anyone?

I was also oreville back then as well.

My icon says I have been a member since Feb 2001 but I joined a bit earlier than that, maybe December of 2000 or January of 2001. I know I started lurking around November of 2000.

As for my status, well, I am known as THE BRONZE ADONIS over on the Open Forum.
