how long does forum registration take..

to get those codes after you submit membership info? My son Morey(11) wants to join. We got a 2nd e-mail address and we're trying to put it to good use. We sent it in 2 hours ago and haven't heard. He's kinda antsy and I don't blame him!! Happy New Year one and all!

Unless they've got the forum setup for administrative approval of new membership, it should be within minutes.

After two days without a response I emailed them directly pleading for a password. They sent it within the day.

I just joined and it took exactly 7 days. It was a long wait...especially as I read each thread. After reading a thread I would quickly check my email account for a password. It was torture, but worth the wait.

OK, I don't want to sound like a dummy. As of this point, I(1907Q) am the only family member that's a forum member. When I post, I simply hit new post, reply, etc. Once my son joins and wants to post, how will the computer know him from me?

You would have to logout first, and then he would log in. Otherwise, because of cookies, it will still think it's you posting.

H will have a different login name and password. If he posts when you are logged in, it will be under yur name. Just make sure to log out every time when you are done with the computer.

Top of the page... below the Navigation box... far right... "logout".
The same button becomes "login".

Mine went several days with no response, I finally emailed them & got a response the next day.

I had to wait for almost 2 weeks. Email requests were ignored 2x times.

I think it must done done manually.

I tried to get signed in twice. The first time I didn`t get a responce. The second time I think I got it in a couple of days.

I agree with Russ. I would think it would be as easy as logging out then he can sign in.

Once I log out, how easy is it to log in? I can't remember ever logging out. Is it easy to find my own code to relog in?

I think it only took me a few minutes. CU is probably still kicking themselves for being so hasty.

In the upper right hand side of this page ( or any page here in the forums ) is the logout button under the navigation bar. Just click on it and it will automatically sign you out. I`ve done it before and wasn`t any hassle to logout. Just like when you sign in, it would take a minute or so to go through the routine and then your out.
