<< We may as well have the Waltons running(ruling) the country, oh thats right, they do! >>
Yeah, between them and Bill Gates.
New York City - In a historic agreement, the Waltons and Bill Gates have purchased Nissan, Hershey, New Zealand, the metric system, the letters H - T, and daylight savings time. "I don't know what the hell they even do" Gates said about the purchases. "We just overheard somebody talking about them the other day, and we figured, why not?" Bill Gates became the wealthiest man on earth when his company was able to sell his "Windows" operating system to people in countries without electricity. The Waltons made their fortune when one of their WalMart stores bought out itself.
glad that farce is over! now we can get back to the daily propaganda. one day however, the majority of Americans (who can't or won't participate in this fraud) will rise up and overthrow the privileged minority that governs the country. What a happy day that will be!
I couldn't find it spelled "deficiet" in any online dictionaries, but doing a web search for "attention deficiet disorder" and "attention deficit disorder" both yeilded hits. Weird. What ever happend to "i before e, except after c"???
What is this farce you speak about? people voting in an election in the most successful representative republic in the world? It's a farce because it didn't turn out the way you wanted it to is that it? Things don't go your way so obviously people were cheated or stupid or duped. Typical leftist, emotion driven, knee-jerk 'thinking' devoid of any logic or fact. You call my nation and its system of government a fraud then I unapologetically call you an ignorant un-American ass. Aren't you missing a pity party somewhere right about now.
So now I'm a liberal BSqr? You're funny Yesterday I got flammed for being a conservative. try and control your emotional outbursts. Doesn't matter to me if their name is Kennedy or Bush, they're both part of the political aristocracy that's corrupted our once great country. It's never too late to fix things, however. One way or another.
What a glorious day.... incredible feeling... Republicans in TOTAL control...... now we can get some things done..... Supreme court appointees, 115 federal judges.. homeland security, our way - and the list goes on. Cheers, RickO
Don't you worry, my emotions are always under control. A little side effect from almost a decade spent in the Marine Corps serving my country. I think it's funny that because I didn’t let your idiotic statements go unchecked you call my response an emotional outburst. Riddle me this, just where do the Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan and Clinton presidencies fit into your little pathology of political aristocracy? Karl Marx would be proud of your anxiousness for revolution by the proletariat.
If, somehow, I've got you pegged wrongly then I apologize but I will NOT sit idly by while people bad mouth America.
no one's "bad-mouthing" america. i love america, but our democratic system is failing. exactly what difference does a vote make (besides giving you that warm and fuzzy feeling that the elite care for your opinion)? does it matter which party is in power? you call a system where elected officials are bought and paid for by the wealthy a success? where the politically entrenched can appoint friends and family to positions of power, or send contracts to those who've made the proper campaign contributions. elected officials spend 75% (yes, 75) of their time working on their own re-election.
i'm sure you remember the boston tea party. it was over a 3% tax - 3% and they got something in return. today every american, after income, excise, property, sales, gasoline, cigarette, and a list of other taxes - pay about 50% of their income into a military/industrial complex that is systematically handed out to the politically connected. the idea that that money still belongs to the american public is now completely lost - it now belongs to the american aristocracy.
casting a vote only perpetuates this failing system. as it stands right now only 35% of registered voters actually cast a vote, likely those hoping to capitalize on this system. doesn't the fact that probably 80% of the potential voting public finds casting a vote worthless mean anything? what if no one turned up on voting day? casting a vote is only an endorsement of the system, and i don't endorse it - and neither does 80% of the people.
the vigilance to change what is wrong is what makes this country great. do not confuse patriotism with the inability to voice ones concerns about the direction of our government - that's fascism. comparing our corrupt system with other countries' more corrupt systems is hardly the road to enlightenment. the average american couldn't care less about our government corruption, they sit by and accept it as long as they're moderately comfortable. no government lasts forever, our constitution even acknowledges that. the time when average americans take up thier pitchforks and head to the capital to confront the elite will eventually come - and things aren't getting any better.

barracuda: it'll refrain from stooping to bsqr's level. I can listen other people's opinions without resorting to calling them "idiots" or their ideas "little".
bsqr: Time after time good men have died thinking they're defending freedom, just to have their corrupt political leaders sell them out to the highest bidder. Perhaps you should explain to the families of the 300 marines that died in the Lebanon barracks bombing why we immediately pulled out and increased foreign aid to that country.... or the ones that died in Somalia (to use a more recent example that the booze hasn't obliterated from your memory yet.) To add insult to injury, those that do return home get to see their remaining freedoms (and money) taken away in the name of "security" (domestic, social, whatever.) Every president you mentioned left office a multi-millionaire, and on a salary of $200,000 per annum or less. Whatta racket!
To defend liberty, I'd gladly give my life. To die defending some corrupt politician's bank account, I don't think so. They'd like you to believe it's the money that's to blame, and all can be resolved with "campaign finance reform." The truth is money is an inanimate object, it can't be good or evil. People on the other hand...
if the founding fathers came back to see what has happen to thier idea, they would start another revolt. this country is going to be peace keeper of the middle east, and the world. maybe they better start cleaning up all the crap here at home first. here is a good example....several days ago, a mother and her 3 children were murder by a group of gang drug dealers, why? because she called the police on them. it just makes me sick. clean out the garbage at home, before you clean up someone else.
I am just not looking forward to the beginning of the end in California.

for what it's worth, i agree with you 100%.
