Curious what you paid for the coin?
The coin was in a 1938 proof set EBay purchase for a modest price given the high quality of the five coins.
Extra photos.
Nice looking images of an attractive coin. Good luck with the submission.

Very nice coin and you always do well @SanctionII but why is it a cherrypick?
It is possible that the coin has enough frost on the sun to warrant a cameo designation. Good luck!

My definition of a cherrypick is a coin that has features which set it apart from a normal example of the particular coin (i.e. a variety, a rainbow toner, a Cameo) that you are able to acquire at the price of a normal example of the same coin.
The 1938 half has mirrored fields, frosted devices (including the sun and the sun's rays) and may warrant a Cameo designation.
It thus is a cherrypick IMO, in fact the entire proof set is a cherry pick as all five coins are gorgeous.
I might quibble with the terminology, but it is definitely a “Score!”
Is this from the one that was listed at $2k OBO?

No, it was not listed at $2K OBO.
I will have to look at the nickel to see what reverse it has.
