Is this crazy for a modern, pop 15 piece of bullion?

Someone no longer has a coin budget…
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
I guess the NGC registry competition is incredibly fierce.

I wouldn't spend anywhere near that much for the coin, but everybody has different interests. If the buyer's happy, that's all that matters.

Liberty Seated Half Dollars
Rather obscene and wonderful as usual if that grade would be the same on another submission. I was glad to get a 1998 Lib in 69 earlier this year along with a 1997 in like grade - I handpicked these from rolls and note they were flawless. I still have two ‘99s that I picked in the same manner I’ll submit next Whitman.
69 vs 70 is a fool’s game IMHO although I admit a 69 is perhaps easier to separate from a ‘68. I wonder if the buyer could separate this coin in the raw from 69s?
Well, just Love coins, period.
Well, the 1998 has always been considered very scarce. Not 40K scarce IMO, but to each his own.
@Abuelo sighting!
I spent $36k on this, but it is genuinely rare (and a pattern).
LOL summer has been hard. Started with a bad tax season, followed by a lot of work hours, and some other engagements... Little time for coins.
That is quite the cuartilla!
Sorry to hear that. But when you earn the big bucks, big taxes are the inevitable result.
@pruebas I'll let you know once I get the big bucks.
Good to have you back!
