GFRC auction win

GFRC Gen 2 just held their first auction, which included in part a very nice set of Liberty Seated Quarters. I am slowly putting together an O-Mint set. I now have 6, the first one was acquired in 2011 so the pace is very slow. Nevertheless, I was able to acquire this one in the auction:

Suffice to say it is a very nice coin with all of the superlatives noted in the auction description. Most of the auction lots sold and Matt and Darrell as Gen 2 are carrying on an important tradition that Gerry started.

Nice pickup!

GFRC did many things very well. However, GFRC Gen 1's photography was among the worst I've ever seen. That allowed for occasional bargains and/or pleasant surprises.

I thought this semi-key trade dollar would be just dark but instead it has maybe the most original surfaces I've ever seen on a circulated T$. I'm sure it would upgrade with a dip but that would be a travesty. It CACed after I purchased it, which did not surprise me in the slightest.

Agree, images are more accurate now with Gen 2.
