Gimmicky slabs like this one just cheapens the brand IMHO.

No way man. I couldn't stand the look of a Morgan in one of those.
My favorite color is actually purple but that just won't work.
Might be possible to pick up some good deals in that tacky holder.

Not for me. If I want to make my collection into a joke, I’ll make up something at home that is cheaper and easily reversible.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Your off base lol. My comments about holder premiums (am tracking) were about CACG WB. As far as holder type collecting many involved in that. As a matter of fact - PCGS rattlers very popular and from commentary here brought premiums.

Quoting you before you edit again. Comparing this purple marketing holder with a rattler holder is a false equivalency when asserting collector interest and value.

How would you know popularity of a newly released holder design lol?
@Catbert has a vote. So do I. It is garish and tacky. Definitely a premium destroying holder suitable only for wacky coins from the South Pacific. Where's Winnie the Pooh?!
When is PCGS going to sign a deal with Sesame Street and pump out holders featuring Bert, Ernie, and Big Bird? We already have sticker collectors and holder collectors. One could collect the entire set of Sesame Street characters on holders!
I'm sure they'll appeal to some. Speaking for myself I generally pass in lieu of the plain traditional sort that don't detract from the coin within. Afterall, shouldn't that be the main focal point where your eye is drawn?
One thing I like about the new holder the obv side is not cluttered with data. Then the back has the pertinent data and good room for any sticker. Neat!
On back ample room for the owner but sticker - price / inv code.
Can hardly wait see a WLH in one of these. Wb looking pickup some in this holder.

Are you sure they haven't? Look outside the US and you'll find a lot of custom holders with artwork. Even a few in the US.

If one wants one for giggles and other things ok. Other wise pass 👌

It's Trader Bea or BERT. It's just a custom holder

Like it’s color and design. But premium like the rattlers TBD.
Hey, maybe we can get these reconsidered with a plus, then a CAC sticker AND a CMQ sticker ... just for good measure

The thing that bugs me most about these Trader Bea holders is having the certification info on the reverse side.

Mic drop.
Looketh like unto crap.
A modicum of taste.
I actually like the appearance of TraderBea’s holders, but I don’t care for the brand.
