National Money Show Savanah anyone going

willywilly Posts: 380 ✭✭✭✭✭

Just curious who might be going to the show in this location. I am going for a quick trip to drop off some coins for sale and will be walking the floor for a couple of hours looking for Saints for my set.

Im going , straight shot down I 95 for me. Been waiting for this show for 6 months now to drop off submissions, consignments, pick up an auction win, look around , etc.

I usually go to baltimore, but this is closer by 2 hours the easier other direction

If it were closer, I would go. I went to the one in Orlando years ago and was rather disappointed with it. Both of the FUN Shows were better.

    Jon,
I send you folks all the time that come in with error's , most times they are nothing, pmd, etc, but they seem to believe they really have something. I always tell them you are the main error guy and if he says it isnt, it isnt. Hopefully, one or two times it will be something worth your while.

I had thought about going but it is a day and a half drive. Just too far for me now.

  • The Savannah Convention Center looks like a great location... out on Hutchinson Island in the middle of the Savannah River, but only a few hundred feet across the water from the old Cotton Exchange. That means a safeish location, but a short drive or free ferry ride from the entertainment district.

It's a fun place to walk around. A good place for golfing, too. Too bad it is hard to get to if you're not from the East Coast.

  • I will be there. I will be bringing Beautifully Toned Proof Indian Cents, High Grade Monster Commems, and high end US Type Coins.

Wife and I were just down there a week ago. Beautiful town to walk around, and good food. Hutchinson Island is where they used to have duels in the good ol' days

Just a small-time collector, but I will be going on Thursday with a collecting friend. It's just a short drive for us. Looking forward to it.

Really wanted to attend since it isn't too far away to drive but have other commitments that require my attention. Darn!

I live in Savannah, so it was a no brainer. However, I also work for a living, so I couldn't go until Saturday, and couldn't get there until 1pm. Half the dealers were gone. The one thing I wanted to do was drop off some (old, but still sealed by UPS/USPS) mint boxes for first strike grading, but PCGS stopped taking stuff at noon. While I knew that going in, I was hoping they'd make an exception. I get the feeling if I kicked and screamed, they would have, but I'm not THAT much of an ass.

Maybe I'll drive down to Orlando for the FUN show in the summer.

I attended the AnA show Saturday morning as I was heading north from Florida back to New York. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the Savannah Convention Center. They are even constructing a new building right next door.
