They would probably triple their business if they brought back the soap bar.
Not sure it is possible.
ANACS has changed hands several times since then so no idea who currently owns the intellectual property/patent on these holders. Does the tooling still exist? Does the manufacturer still exist?
I agree if the current ANACS owns this design, it seems like a no brainer to revive as an option.
As an aside, I don’t believe coins currently in these holders are covered by any guarantee.

Do you think the dealer collected old holders or just purchased a big collection?
He indicated that he collected them over a long period of time, and from the sound of it, prior to 2015. And his other cases with the PCGS and NGC coins had very few of the newer prong style edge view holders either…. Though not many rattlers or fatty holders either.
I would assume that many of these OWHs were picked through for upgrade opportunities much like other slab vendor old holders. As such, it would be a mistake to assume that those that remain are consistently undergraded.
I own one OWH holder and love the slab design. I imagine that the resurrection of such a holder might be difficult due to necessary counterfeit prevention features.

I’m not a big fan of them. In my primary series I’ve been mostly unsuccessful crossing them with PCGS saying they were cleaned. My sample size is too small to draw any meaningful conclusions but that’s been my experience. I certainly wouldn’t buy an expensive coin in an OWH with the expectation that it will cross or it’s undergraded.
like a Hotel bar of soap I'm guessing. I have heard the old NGC pre bar code slabs called as such too. ?
Yep. 😉
And this is a soap box. You could probably fit a few small ANACS holders in an old soap box.

Yep, what I saw was either properly graded, or slightly overgraded, or had an old cleaning with retoning that may or may not pass muster with PCGS nowadays. And any approaching undergraded was usually labeled and priced as such. I think that’s what frustrated people; they were hoping for fresh meat, and back ‘o Bid prices, but left sorely disappointed, with some of them pretty vocal about it.

🤣 😂
How many soaps can a soap box soap if your soapbox could hold soap?

Is that for 3 boxes of 20 converters or just 3?

Pic from 2014 - all ms Jeffersons, now sold. I liked the fact that they could be stored in ordainary 2x2 coin boxes.
