I think initially that Jalen Carter, a key Eagles defensive player, was scheduled for a suspension in this upcoming game with the Chiefs. But the league settled on just a fine instead. The league figured that since Carter was tossed from the previous game without yet playing a snap, then not playing in that entire game served as his suspension, and punishment enough for the team.
Which may explain why the line is bouncing around a bit. It's a very tough game to handicap anyway.
Hilarious with the Chiefs. Seems almost every day there is some sort of negative headline about them. Another player injury or various other problems. Especially related to, are they now a team on a permanent decline with their present players and coaching staff?
We shall see on Sunday whether their decline continues or they band together to be great again.
Rob Gronkowski made a very nasty remark the other day, that the Chiefs fold when their opponents punch them in the mouth. That's about as insulting as possible to any football team.
Frankly if after getting stomped in the Super Bowl by the Eagles, and then losing their opener, if the Chiefs lose this game at home, and go 0-2, their season may already be in deep trouble. Especially when at 67 years old, Andy Reid may not have what it takes any longer to be a competent head coach. Not that 67 is that old, but it is getting up in years for an NFL head coach, and it's not like Andy has been physically fit his entire life.
Reid of course obviously is a first ballot hall of famer, no matter what happens with the Chiefs this season. However if the Chiefs wind-up with a losing record, it's easy to see how this might be Andy's final season in the NFL.
I just read where Pat Mahomes has never started a season 0-2.
What scares me a little bit is the Chiefs really need to win this game. Not a must-win, but close to it. While an Eagles loss wouldn't be that big of a deal.
That being said, I'm still calling an Eagles win on Sunday.
For a number of reasons the Chiefs will be dangerous in this game. And the Eagles didn't play particularly well last game. However I think the Eagles will improve off that game.
This certainly won't be a blow-out like the Super Bowl. But if the Eagles play focused football, as they have since around week 5 of last season, they should prevail.
What doesn't seem to get mentioned much anywhere, is that Nick Sirianni has become one heckuva football coach. Last season around game 5, he basically gave-up his reckless play calling style at times, and now calls a very solid game plan. Of course acquiring Saquon Barkley sure helped in all that.
it is pretty shocking that Patty only has 60 yards passing halfway through the third quarter. he has been a different QB in the last 2+ years than what he was the first 6 years

you called it!!!
Thanks Craig - Lot of game left to play, so I ain't counting any chickens yet.
But in any event that sure was nice. Andy got a little bit too predictable with that play call. The whole stadium knew Mahomes was going to pass it to Kelce.

that pick both turned into a td and milked more time off the clock. very costly indeed!!

Eagles' Jalen Hurts, Chiefs' Chris Jones trade barbs at end of game
Not a big deal, but what's the point of a Chiefs player talking smack here?
I think it's another example of Andy Reid on the decline, losing control of his team. We shall see how it goes, but I can't see Reid being back with the Chiefs next season. I mean head coaches are hired to be eventually fired anyway, we all know that. So there's no shame in it, especially considering Reid's tremendous accomplishments in the NFL.

Lol that was nothing, I'd be happy if I was coaching Chris Jones, I'd want my guys to be pissed off after losing a game.
As long as there is no penalty and no personal insults it's not a big deal as you said
Smack talk goes on all the time they got so. much of it they put out youtuve videos of "Best sound bites from NFL miced up players"

I guess the guy figured no matter what he said, a penalty wouldn't matter, because the game was over anyway. Hurts was just running out the clock.
I still haven't figured out the exact difference between taunting and smack? I get the physical part of taunting with the "displays" etc. With the verbal part, I guess it's subjective depending on the ref's feelings. LOL

Xavier Worthy is officially out for tomorrow's game.
Should be a very interesting game coming up, as already discussed.
Not a must win or anything for the Eagles, so I'm not all that worried about it. But would be nice to get a win today at Arrowhead.
Chiefs won't lay down like they did in the Super Bowl. They will have revenge on their mind. We shall soon see if they're good enough to do it.
i am thinking the Eagles defensive front will have their way with the KC OL
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
So far so good. 😊
Just a feeling that Mahomes before this game is over, is going to throw a very costly pick.
Very nice clutch 58 yard field goal by the Eagles at the end of the first half, to even up the score.
Close game as expected.
like the announcer said, that kick would have been good from 68!!

A 14 point swing in the game.
2-0
I'll take it. 😎
Great win @stevek
