I’m guessing that Xavier Worthy will think twice about making Taylor Swift jokes in the huddle again. Hearing Kelce singing Shake It Off as Worthy limped off the field did seem to be a bit too much though. 😎

One of them screwed-up their route assignment, that's for sure.

I'd guess it was probably Worthy. Sending thin, frail receivers up the middle generally isn't a good idea.

Chiefs tempers flare as teammates scream at each other during opening night defeat to the Chargers

Seems like Andy Reid may have lost control of this team. Nothing to be ashamed about if he decides to retire, or gets canned after this season. First ballot hall of famer for sure.

Teammates getting emotional and hollering at each other during games happens all the time and isn't really much ado about anything. That's a media driven "story" because that's what the media does. The "screaming at each other" incident happened right after that 19 yard Herbert run that sealed things and it's not like they were at each other's throats.

    It's really a non-issue.

i don't think anyone is saying KC is going to be a 5-12 team, but i also don't think anyone is predicting them to suddenly look like a squad that could with the chip

doors blown off in the super bowl by an opponent that isn't going anywhere, a divisional rival that can't beat them finally did............which direction are they trending in your mind? sure, they'll win enough games to make the playoffs, but then what? good enough to beat teams like Buff, Balt, GB, Det, Philly et al? if i was a betting man........oh wait, i am........i'd confidently say the days of them hoisting the Lombardi are over as currently constructed

some last longer than others, but all good things come to an end

edit: the Chiefs play Philly, Baltimore, Detroit, and Buffalo before week 10, which is their bye week. they're going to be doing a lot of running in that off week to burn off the L burgers they've eaten

The Chiefs came from behind to win 11 times last year. Some were incredible and a few were incredibly lucky. Another was a blocked chip shot against Denver. No they aren’t a 5-12 team but I don’t see them having the success in the regular season with all the close games this year. 11-12 wins can still win the division. Chargers, I just don’t see them as a serious threat and we’ll see if Bo Nix avoids the sophomore jinx. Film and adjustments on 2nd year QB’s are a killer. But I guarantee the path to the top of the division is much harder this year.

A bit off topic. Just in time for football season we invested in an LG 50 inch TV. Our previous one was a 32 inch. We thought the 32 inch was special, which it was at the time when we replaced our old one with it.
But this one is greater. The colors and clarity are phenomenal. The blues especially. The NASCAR cars especially jump out with their variety of color. Football, baseball uniforms as well. The close ups, unreal. Now we know what we were missing.
Now I can see the missed FG's better when it costs me a parlay or over bet.🏈☹️

I still have my old 32" TV buried in the garage. I just gotta get around to calling somebody to come and take it. I think it's around 100 bucks to dispose of the dam thing. LOL

Some pretty harsh criticism of the Chiefs after only one game when the rest of the NFL hasn't even played yet. It's a long season, let's see where all these teams are after 8 games.

At my parents house we had about 5 or 6 of them

I made the decision to NOT pay to get rid of them, instead I smashed them into a thousand pieces and handful by handful I put them in household trash bags and that took care of it lol

I stood 5 feet away and launched a heavy rock into the picture tube's to implode them at a safe distance then started the process of clean up lol

I'm watching Fox NFL Sunday pre game and I'm already getting annoyed

"Is the Chiefs week 2 game against Philly a must win game"

It's like stop with the drama, it's so ridiculous, no week 2 game is a " Must Win" gimme a break 🙄

I don't recall which channel, but one of those morons was implying that Andy Reid could perhaps be fired if the Chiefs started 0-2.

Tampa lost both games to Atlanta last year. They are well on their way to repeating that performance today. The offense and defense are both flat.

Here we go again: Browns miss the extra point, then throw an interception, and the Bengals come down the field to kick a field goal and lead by one!

Just got home after watching a disappointing loss by the Browns. I figure everyone will be saying bench Flacco, he threw two INT's, play the rookies. But those people didn't watch the game. Flacco gets credit for two INT's because he hit his receivers hands and they bobbled catchable passes which led to turnovers. All Flacco did was put his team into position to win. The Browns outplayed the Bengals for three quarters and then turned the game over to Myles Garrett and let him absolutely wreck Joe Burrow.

A PAT and a chip-shot 36 yard FG add up to a 17-16 loss. How do you miss those??

Sadly, the Browns are again where they always find themselves, a pretty capable team that can win if they don't make mistakes. They just aren't good enough to overcome the rash of mistakes that seem to plague the team.

Packers defensive line played great today. My favorite years with GB was those teams with Reggie, Dotson, Brown, Jones... Would love to have that type of defense again.

The Bills Comeback last night further proves that the nearly impossible and sometimes impossible will happen in the NFL

All I can think of is Zay Flowers doing that idiotic hand wave to the crowd early on only to exit the stadium a loser 😂😂😂

    couple of thoughts:

i was really surprised at how bad the lions looked. it is early yet though, and i expect them to come around

I sure wish i had not gone to bed after the Hopkins TD catch last night. sounds like it was a wild 4th quarter!!

Just watched highlights of that Ravens vs. Bills classic and it reminds me how fickle football and the NFL can be, how much the small things matter in deciding the outcome of a game, a season, a franchise and a fanbase.

To compare two game, the Bengals vs. the Browns and the Ravens vs. the Bills:
--- Joe Flacco has two passes hit the hands of receivers, bounce in the air and get intercepted.
--- Josh Allen has a pass deflected off a receiver, sail almost 10 yards and get caught by another receiver for a TD.
--- the Browns kicker misses a PAT and a 36 yard FG to effectively lose the game.
--- the Ravens kicker misses a PAT.
--- the Bills kicker makes a 32 yard FG to win the game.

With all the fabulous plays in those games, nice runs and passes, plays defended, it always seems it's the smallest of details that make the difference, the routine plays that are practiced each and every week. When a receiver can get his hands on the ball he should almost always catch it, inside the 40 yard line a kicker just has to split the uprights.

the pressing question i have regarding yesterday's offensive debacle by the Lions is, how much of it can be attributed to Green Bay's improvement and how much to Ben Johnson's departure?

i watched that game and they seriously looked like the Giants on offense
