if JJ plays well and the Vikes beat the Falcons, i'm prepared to read that it only happened because of the offensive lineman, the receivers, the Falcons quit, the running backs, the defensive line, the Falcons quit, the linebackers, the defensive backs, the Falcons quit, the coaches, the fans, the Falcons quit, the cheerleaders, the parking attendants, the Falcons quit, the concession stands, the Falcons quit, and the hospital beds
Fine with me. That trend could just continue.

All the McCarthy talk is a little over the top on both sides. On one hand he didn't throw the ball well overall, on the other he made 2-3 throws which were the difference in the game. I didn't watch the game , only saw the highlights. Based on that it would seem that Caleb Williams is the better QB of the two. McCarthy definitely has the better team to help him.

mind you, i'm a Bears fan. but i'm also very objective, which some esteemed posters in this glorious forum are entirely incapable of being.
that said, i watched every snap.
for 3 quarters, McCarthy looked like a fish out of water. the game was moving way too fast for him. but in the 4th, with his team down, with the game on the line, he matured right before everyone's eyes. except basebal's, because he doesn't actually watch the games. he just wildly opines after the fact. but i digress.
you tell me.....
is engineering 3 touchdown drives in the 4th when your team is down good? two via your arm, one via your legs? the net result being a come-from-behind W? on the road? in your first NFL start? is that good? or did that only happen because of the thickness of the toilet paper in the stalls at the stadium?
he played well and looked like a completely different quarterback when it mattered most. and this coming from someone who did not want him to play well and look like a completely different quarterback when it mattered most. if Caleb had played the way JJ did in crunch time, my team would have won the game. but he didn't, thus we didn't.

I'm sure you'll dismiss this, but Jefferson said he ran the route wrong and it's his fault on the pick 6.
I actually give Jefferson a lot of credit for that. He knows hes a superstar and stud and tried to help his teammate putting the blame on him.
He's no Randy Moss, thank God.
That could have been an all time press conference if that was Moss instead of Jefferson. They need to stop calling that play, Ive seen that exact same pick from him multiple times where he cant get the ball over the defenders head and just throws them a gift while the WR is open 5-10 yards down field
For what? He threw 2 TDs to his team and 1 to the other team.
He threw for 144 yards with his team with a top 2 or 3 WR in the league and 78 yards for the other team.
So if you cancel it all out he threw for 66 yards and 1 TD. Congrats on the participation trophy I guess.

He also made a nice run for a third touchdown, so if you don't even know how many scores he was involved in, your opinion is invalid.
You can then "cancel out" Chicago's last touchdown, the game was over, that just made it look closer than it was.
By the way, participation trophies are given to those that LOSE, his team won.
Thanks need to be given to the defense as well. After their first drive, Chicago did almost nothing until the game was decided.

I don't expect the Browns to win and I don't think it was smart for them to talk shit about the Ravens, but it's part of the game. I also don't expect Derrick Henry to run roughshod over Cleveland and the game might be closer than everyone thinks.
I have been wrong before.
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety," --- Benjamin Franklin
As it seems to always be, Cleveland is just not good enough to overcome mistakes, they need to play error free.
Today it seems the Offensive Line play and Special Teams line play has been terrible. Instead of wasting picks I wish the team would start to draft some OL's because the guys they have just aren't up to the task. DB Denzel Ward gets continued praise but the guy always seems to be struggling with some injury or another, he is never 100% healthy even during training camp. Time to move on from that.
Another weak point was a coaching blunder by Stefanski. After Flacco threw the INT the Browns had held the Ravens at 4th and goal on a drive that started on the 5 and the Ravens hurried on 4th and scored. Why didn't Stefanski call a TO??
But this is what I've come to expect, good football that needs to be executed to perfection. That's hard to do.

For me the Giants/ Cowboys game is the game of the day. Great sports entertainment .Sometimes, in a game like this, it's a shame one team has to lose. Dependant on which side of the bet you are on.

Only felt the Giants/Cowboys was the game of the day because who would of expected these 2 teams to provide such an entertaining game. Eagles/Chiefs we expect such.

the kid deserves credit, period.

What I think is Over The Top Of The Moon is all this jaw-wagging about the Cleveland Browns. Honestly I thought they got relegated for 2025.

I mean the math makes sense and those are English words. That's as far as it goes.
Jaw wagging?

Why would you love the Browns? Might as well love the Cowboys while you're at it -

Aubrey bombs one from 64 to send it into OT

The best team to come out of Cleveland was Bone Thugs n Harmony.
The Browns are the answer to the question; What would the WNFL be like?
