It's entirely contingent on what becomes available. I don't have any preconceived expectations about it.

I know what coins I am looking to buy, including a minimum quality or appearance, but that's all.

That is an amazing looking coin!!! I would be proud to own such a coin. Hopefully I can locate one in 2025.

I have one I really like. Bought a long time ago from a Spink sale in the UK. Low grade, but nice.

If you haven't looked on Heritage, 16 prior sales are listed. Last one about a year ago.

I only know what's on Heritage since I don't look for it otherwise. I can see from the Heritage sales that the trend is up, but that's all. It's not going to be predictive of the next one because these coins don't sell often enough.

Yeah ain't that the truth. That is why I normally do not but wanted to make a topic to start 2025 getting people excited about the new possibilities with the new year just around the corner. As for the Jamaica counterstamped I will only buy or bid on one I really like so a few may pass before that happens....that should save me possible bidding the coin up by others. Or it could have the opposite effect and someone may send me a link to one via PM like I got yesterday (the coin is out of my price range otherwise I would purchase it). Can go both ways either for the good or for the bad when sharing.

Not a coin but will be buying one early January or February 2025. Looking forward to it so I can take images of my coins and also of new varieties and send the images off to Brad Yonaka for when he comes out with his 2nd edition:

I recently discovered and intend to acquire a few Mexico 50 pesos gold pieces over the next year. It meets my 3 likes 1) big gold 2) design and 3) reasonable value based on the high % gold value to overall market pricing. A number of the later dates in the series almost act as semi bullion coins with the high gold content. Any advice or thoughts how I should get started?

I would like to get a decent Julius Caesar denarius with his portrait which was issued when he was living. I’ve come in second at the auctions a couple of times, but that’s been it.

If I cannot find one in my price range in 2025 then I will set the funds aside and add some to it in 2026 for a better example.

No....I just wanted others here to know since some send me links to coins I am looking to buy. And I rather not waste their time if the coin is out of my price range.

Why do you bother with me? I mean every since I have been on this forum nothing I do ever makes you happy. Why not just ignore me and live and let live. I have tried to offer a peaceful solution but you can't seem to be mature enough to take that path. I have reported your constant harassment/bullying to the mods. Keep acting this way maybe you will get a permanent ban.

I am sure the mods will not find your harassment and bullying as funny as you seem to. Moving forward each time you do any of this I will report you to the mods.

This toxic behaviour of yours will come to an end either by your own self putting an end to it or by the mods stepping in. But I am no longer going to take it without reporting you. Years and years of this is enough time for the mods to step in and intervene.

No. Thanks unfortunately out of my price range otherwise I would buy it. Good thing in a sens since he does not ship to Canada (only to USA). Could be best for me to wait for an auction that way I am not over paying.

I think it is just as easy to over pay at auction as it is to over pay a fixed price listing.

You are right and sorry it turned this way was never my intention (just wanted to talk coins). I will not feed into it anymore. But rest assured every single time he (Pruebas) bullies me and harasses me I will report him to the mods. This has been going on for far to long (years in my case) but rest assured the mods will know about it moving forward (every single time he bullies or harasses me a new report will be made). That is the only way some people learn to stop their bad behaviour when the authorities get involved (the forum mods in this case).

Lets just get back to talking coins.
