Had some record poor results opening 14 packs of 1980 Topps football. Was rough cause I pulled the right cards. 2 Lester Hayes, 2 Largents, Payton Bradshaw. All had about 97/3 left to right centering. Worst centering I've ever seen. But I liked this one a lot. What would you say this would grade with PSA or SGC today? How about PSA in 2008? May just keep it raw. Love the All-Pro banners.
great card 80 topps football is a tough set to find great centered cards. topps cutting presses were downright awful for the 80 topps football set.
However, I didn't know that he played minor league baseball.
Sammy Baugh played for the Rochester Red Wings - International League and the Columbus Red Birds - American Association; I’m sure he realized his true talents were in FB. In 46 games, he committed 11 errors.
I came across this auto pic as a baseball player - was a pretty nifty find for me.

For real. I used to dislike the set but I’ve grown to really like it as a favorite from the 80s.
It is so TOUGH to get centered ones. Drives me crazy.

I like your Home Laundry one...
That's Pretty Cool...👍🏈
I'm a fan of Topps living, now and throwback thursday.
I like the style of this RC - about 1 in 20 people get an SP - I got lucky; plus the print run on the regular card is less than 4000 - that's pretty darn rare compared to regular print runs for sure IMO.
Man, those 82 Fleersare so weird. I have a soft spot for them. So many dark and out of focus photos to go along with crazy errors and the wrong guy’s photo on cards.
This card is so hard to find centred like this. That print dot is unfortunate but feel like an 8 is a bit hatsh when you consider 99.9% of these are OC or miscut.

Two more tough Mantle’s. The first is a team TriFold that brings the population up to a robust six.

The Action shot is the SP.
Always loved this Payton card and really like the centering on this one. May send it to SGC to see if they could go 9.5. Probably no but worth a try.
Like the idea. I myself have recieved a different type of Alien card.
That's an E.T. rookie right on top!
Nice to get a rookie Rodman in Gem Mint 10…

LCS pickup. My father was part of a B-17 crew, so I added this to my collection.
I noticed one on eBay (probstein) as it was in a search I have.

That is a nice looking card and I love the reason for getting it. Cards with meaning make looking through the collection rewarding.
One more for my 75-95 rookie set.

I picked up a couple of raw cards. Cards from the 1986 CBS Radio set are always tough.

For comparison, a 10 that is more oc and has print issues, and would sell for 15k:
An upgrade for my Dwight Evans set . Its an odd-ball card BUT i still love it .
Always liked this set for the bold on card auto's
