Hi all,
This was part of a large group lot I purchased. I though this was a very nice strike with a a ton of luster.
What do you think PCGS gave this?
Thanks in advance.

64+ imo, but I think it's in a 65 slab.
Beautiful coin but my guess 64 due to marks on cheek
Casual collector, mostly Morgans & Peace Dollars.
Fields look clean and plenty of luster, I would say 64.

Many thoughts
My first thought was 65
Face is rough though
Then I noticed the cap (is there an issue there?) and reverse rim top half of the coin.
I think it should be a 63. They probably graded it a 64.
Nice frost on Miss Liberty and reverse Eagle. I’ll say 64.

Great strike for that mint & year!
Looks like some die clash marks on reverse too…

Though would not be surprised with anywhere from a 64 to 66.

Looks either MS63 or possibly MS64 to me. PCGS Photograde:
64
MS64 on a good day, high end 63 on a bad one.

Update:
PCGS gave this a ms65. I feel like the grade is accurate. The date is notorious for weak strikes and low luster, and this coin has frosty surfaces and tons of luster. It is very close to prooflike, but not there yet. The flash photography makes the hits look much worse than in hand.
Forgot to guess the other day. Yes, 64 seems spot on.
Nice coin

I had a typo. PCGS actually gave this a 65.
I wouldn’t agree this date is notorious for weak strikes and low luster. While there are many such coins, it is not at all hard to find well-struck and brilliant examples. PL and DMPL examples are plentiful.
Well then, I was right after all.
65, wow, never would have guessed that. Nice strike & luster but baggy for a 65. I have better 63's that that coin.
