1884 Morgan Dollar - New Purchase

Meltdown

I bought this over the weekend... I've had a few nice toned Morgans in my ever changing collection over the years but I think this one will stay with me for good.
It's in a fatty NGC 64 holder with the green label and 3 days into owning it, I'm fascinated with swirling it around and looking at the luster and color. I don't think I'm going to get tired of this one.
According to the owner, it has not been to CAC. Maybe one of these days it will make the trip, I don't really care right now.

The photo turned out well for my skills, thanks. I think it's right on the edge of a clean 64 grade, Close enough for my eyeballs anyway. I could see CAC not giving it the sticker, it has a little bit of excess chatter in the cheek but I love it either way.

Really nice color and I like the direction it drapes over the coin. That's a real keeper. I think it looks to be every bit of a 64.
If I spotted it at a show and the price was right I wouldn't hesitaite.

It's a nice looking coin for the grade. Hope you didn't pay much a premium for the toning.
