It seems like a toss-up between three possible outcomes:

    AU58
    MS64
    UNC details (cleaned).

I'll go with my first guess (AU58).

My first hunch was one point higher, but it looks boinked, so after looking again, I'm going to say 64

MS 66 - Really nice coin. Oregon Trail one of my favorite series. Really nice luster and color on that one. A date set of Oregon Trails a quality project IMO.

Now if it’s details I am going to be really upset, go to my local liquor store get a bottle of bourbon, mix me a drink.

I will go 66 also. Why is it that ticks or marks seem to gravitate to the Indian's thigh and the rays of the sun? I don't see rub or bruise or really significant marks on this coin. Very nice.

    Winner winner chicken dinner.

I also thought 65+/66 but unfortunately if you tilt the coin just right you can see a handful of hairlines across the surfaces near the peripheral (nothing on the devices, so I figured they were also die scratches)

Literally someone wiped it with their shirt at some point and cratered this coin. I can't even photograph them, they're so fine. Oh well.

The luster on this coin is insane. The strike is barely a 65 IMO, but the luster and frost pops it up to a 66/+

Unfortunately someone wiped it with their T-shirt at some point :(

Pour one out for me too buddy.

    $175 if someone's interested.

How’ do you know someone wiped the coin with their shirt? Unless you learned that from the person who did it, you don’t.

Based on your post, I’m not convinced that the cleaning is necessarily limited to the “handful of hairlines”.

If you want to sell the coin please post those efforts on the Buy, Sell, & Trade - U.S. Coins forum, not here, where it amounts to spam.

Other than all of the above, I love your posts to this thread. 😉

Regardless of my guess on the grade being straight (I questioned that), the coin did look boinked (and am glad to see even the not-so True View could hide it).

    .
@MFeld is correct in multiple areas, including how the coin has been preserved (or has not been, as the case may be).

And this Board isn't the BST.

Education and information is great, and generally this is a good one in that respect, but let's not play the spam and flipper game here.
