Looks to be as old as about half of the members of this forum.
So you're saying your coins will last longer then you? Add me to that list!

And Happy Nevada Day! OUR SILVER AND GOLD went into a lot of coins back in the day!!
On a side note: What country did Trick or Treating originate?
1: Canada
2: Australia
3: Ireland
4: USA
5: Uk
bob
Iβm guessing Ireland and that it had something to do with turnips

i think my ex said something about being a relative, i never pursued it
Funny!
This is actually a 2 oz. .999 Silver round, 39mm diameter (a Morgan Dollar is 38.1 mm wide), about 1/4 inch thick. It's part of their "Vintage Horror" series by Intaglio Mint (limitedmintage.com). They sell these for roughly only about $7 per ounce over spot, with reasonable shipping.

We set a new record for trick or treaters last night. We would have surpassed 1000 but we ran out of candy before 8 PM

Everyone showed up at Tim's house!!
Cool tally sheet

Dang!
I have had about 4 or 5 trick or treaters in the last 35 years.
@pointfivezero
I count 874.
See 3rd row 3rd batch from end and 6th row 2nd batch from end.
That is an impressive amount of trick or treaters!
Thanks for the sanity check! I was handing out the candy and my wife was stacking them in two's and keeping score. It seemed like 1874 kids. There were times when 15 to 20 kids were there at the same time. We literally never had a break from 6 PM to 8 PM. By 8 PM, the kids were taller than me (I'm 6'2") so we did not feel too bad about running out of candy.
Beginning with Covid, we employed a ten foot PVC tube to deliver the candy to the kids on the sidewalk as we used to get a mob on the front porch. So now we block the stairs and use the tube. The kids (and parents) love it. We have continued to use this method as it is the easiest way to keep everything in order:

Not a problem, it's hard to control the perfectionist in me.
I could not imagine passing out candy to that amount of kids. Our best year was maybe 1/8th of yours.
Love the tube idea and setup, I'm sure it made the trick or treating experience for the kids that much better.
You're definitely the cool Halloween house on the block!

Ireland is correct.

I only knew that because I had recently read an article about how the Irish carved Jack oβ lanterns out of turnips. The article is at https://www.museum.ie/en-IE/Collections-Research/Collection/Top-things-to-see-in-the-Irish-Folklife-Collection/Artefact/Ghost-turnip/b202e8ea-0728-4b3d-b0f1-82660fe45ce9
Heres a picture of the article with a picture of a carved turnip (actually a plaster replica of one, I guess the real ones rot). It looks way scarier than a pumpkin
