The Rockets v. Warriors Game 1 was very entertaining. The Rockets are young, tall and athletic however they due not have any go to scorer (except maybe Alperen Sengun). Last night the Rockets shot terrible from the field and the free throw line. The Warriors played lock down, smothering defense. Curry and Butler scored at will.
I have not attended any Warriors playoff games during the Curry Era. That will change as my wife and I are going to see Game 4 next Monday.

Detroit definitely got screwed on that final three attempt of the game by Hardaway Jr, he should have going to the line for 3 with NY up 1 but the ref swallowed his whistle.
Horrible luck for Dame, hopefully this achilles injury isn't career ending but at his age you have to wonder if it is.
IIRC Kevin Durant had an achilles injury that ended his playoffs run in the Finals during that second year in GS, missed the entire following season, then played minimal games over the following two after that. KD was 30 at the time of that injury, Dame turns 35 real soon.
Playoff basketball is at a much higher level than regular season basketball.
Last night’s game was a spectacle and it delivered, both on the court and off.
Then game was intense, with both teams putting on a show. Alperin Sengun is a stud. He can take over and score at will. The Rockets are big, young and fast. GSW is playing out of its mind. Curry had an off night. Butler, Podz and Green made up for Curry’s off night.
The crowd was phenomenal. Engaged, focused, loud, many times standing on their feet yelling at the top of their lungs. All the while very friendly and engaging with each other. my wife and I were seated next to 5 young men. we spoke with them. They are all graduating from Hastings law school in SF in two weeks and went to the game to celebrate. We talked, congratulated them and I told them I am in year 43 of my law practice.
The GSW staff put on a fun series of things to liven up the crowd and get everyone engaged during stops in the game, including showing fans on the Jumbotron.
Prior to the game my wife and I arrived early, walked the plaza, had a meal at Gotts Roadhouse and shopped for GSW swag.
As my wife was completing a purchase of some swag she was next to a celebrity in disguise. Actor David Spade was next to my wife, wearing a wig. They looked at each other, she recognized him, she said “David Spade?” and he said yes and winked at her.

Today's games pretty much went as expected. Stealing homecourt advantage after one game is a great start for the Dubs.
