I went 10 for 10 at last night's Heritage 2024 October 7 Bust Coinage US Coins Showcase Auction

Ten for ten in a losing way that is.
Did any forum members pick up any lovely ladies last night?
All I can say is, judging by last night's auction the CBH market is alive and very well.

None for me. If I picked up that many at one time the wife would out me out with the cat! Tight work.
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.
I really wanted this 1838. ❤️
Couldn't persuade yourself to live bid to snag the 1838? Sometimes, enjoying a desired coin is worth paying beyond what you think it's worth.
Edit to add question mark.

You're making it worse, @Catbert .....I could(should) have ponied up in live bidding and snagged that baby.
A positive note, I am finally not buying every expensive pretty face that shows up at auction.
I need your cure!

Always hurts to be an increment off.
I picked up another 1798 BB-114 Bust Dollar. I own almost all of the ones known in AU (straight-graded and otherwise) at this point. Weird obsession.
I was flying back from the Tukwila show (stayed in Seattle an extra day) and had no choice but to throw an advance max bid in the airport, as the realtime lot bidding was while I was in the air. Not my usual style.

Never know if it was really an increment off. The winner might nuke bid and always takes it one increment above the underbidder's bid.
Prices matched the quality of a lot of the coins in most instances. That’s not meant to be as negative as it sounded.
There were 3 or 4 I was interested in and decide not to pull the trigger. I really liked the 1812 O-104b in the OGH and thought it went for a steal.
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
EDITED to add (after morning's first coffee and to see what @BillJones posted
GOD, I READ THAT WRONG. Even with the red numbers my mind must have been mush. I thought you WON 10 for 10. DOH!!
Count that up to four days straight of packing, cleaning out the house and garage, and a 900 mile trailer run, which ended yesterday afternoon with about a third of the trailer unloaded at the other end!
Not going to edit the original part so you can all laugh at my expense.
Better luck next time. Always the underbidder usually means you're right at the cusp of some good wins. Nothing wrong with keeping the powder dry.

Nice wins. I had the 11-110a on a close watch, but I have a lovely P58. However that coin is a winner in my mind, and not out of the fair price range.
I also considered the 26-106a. It's a coin I'd prefer to see in hand, but I think you'll be happy.
Finally, I had the 30-110 on watch. Another good coin.
Didn't really watch the others on your list, but I did have a few others I watched. Most went in the FMV range. I didn't see any screaming bargains, but there were some good stock coins for the dealers. There was on coin I think the new owner will be buried in. Overall, it looks like you did pretty well.
I will echo @Pnies20 's point. The auction did not have a lot of really strong coins. There were some winners in there, for sure, and I think you got some, but overall I did not feel it was an especially strong showing. My 2c. YMMV.

I was happy to win the 14-103 in P55cac. I paid up a little (in my mind), but think I will be happy when she arrives. She appears to have the original skin, luster and crust features, along with all the anomalies (cracks, clashes, etc) that make me twitch!
I liked several other coins too, but she was the one I really wanted, and I exceed my max bid by $50. Seems like there were at least two cut bidders under me, which I find odd (usually at the end, only one cut bid shows up - other than if the winner cuts once, and I did not).
.
Anyway, here she is. I love the date, and have wanted the DM for a while, but none have ever quite tripped my trigger.
She did!

Join the club. I have not won anything in a Heritage auction in months. I think I’m up to at least 0 for 8. Most all of them have been second place finishes. It’s becoming futile to bid there any more.
Added to that, Heritage was auctioning some Disney figures that a member of the family had designed and sculpted the molds for years ago. I bid for my wife, and we won three of them that were in one lot. Heritage broke two of them in transit when they were shipping them back to headquarters. Despite their mistake, they still wanted us to pay almost the full amount. We passed. The service was disappointing to say the least.
Being underbidder is not always bad unless you really wanted or needed it. If you did not set and stick to your max, it could have gone 20-50%+ higher and you could have been buried for years.
I set a max bid at online auction that is some sm % over bid factoring in the juice. If I lose ok w me and be sure have ample pocket if win a bunch, run the table. Then celebrate and then markup accordingly.
I did buy 4 of the cap bust half dollars. As I have posted before I am working on a complete half dollar date set. I still need about 10 cap bust date.
I won nothing. Strangely enough, for the amount of material, there was hardly anything I needed for my collection.
