I met my soul mate at college in 1984. We were aloof & young. Took us 3 years to realize our joy & sealed the deal. Our parents became decades long best friends.
Did not envision that happening !
I will revisit & come up with something image relative wise to update thread later.
In mean time, we consume red wines & are having Sitka Salmon dinner about 40 years to the day after we met...
Not the highest grade bust half I own, but this is probably my favorite… the lousy pics don’t adequately capture the beautiful color. Happy 40th and many more!

This was Lane Brunner’s 17/3. I desperately wanted this coin for several years and wondered what happened to it.
Very hard to pin pin point favorites as I think they are all cool, but its gotta be this one for me.
First and only year New Orleans $2.5 Gold Classic Head with Obverse mint mark. I guess they were figuring out quality control that year cause this one is a lightweight planchet (mint error) and denoted as such at the Sub Treasury with an "L" punch. Deemed to be destroyed it escaped the melting pot and resides in my collection now,
This is my favorite and it was the first one I sent to PCGS in 2002 after joining. Later sent it in for True View pics but only have a few amateur pics of the edge strike.
I believe that he will probably hope that you happen to have a 1933 $20 in your pocket. An even exchange.......

This must be the SUPER RARE 1807 O-111b and 1813 O-103 mule everyone is talking about!!
I tried finding the correct reverse die and I think the 1810 O-103 may it. The subtype style, relief, and strike weakness resembles the 1810, 1811, some 1813s, and 1814 O-107 varieties.

Happy Belated Birthday! It took me a minute to figure it out but it's definitely this one of all my ms67 Kennedy finds.
This one has a semi PL/ frosty look to it and it's one of the strongest I have for the grade.

Nice grade and physical look.

Right
Actually I was checking out your Kennedy collection over the weekend and it's very nice at #4. Myself, I'm a long way from complete, think I need around 200 more so I might actually start buying them already graded. I seen a couple I like at DSLR believe its was an 84 d and 79 d. They look very good for the grade as well.

This set is currently a #2 set. Check it out and feel free to leave a comment on it.
There are 2 sets above this set but they have been retired and are missing between 20-40 coins each.
Their set rating is higher as they have fewer coins in them.
Currently they are ranked #14 and #18.

I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
Today this one's my favorite. Yesterday it was a different one. Tomorrow will probably be a different one yet. Happy birthday young man.
