I'll leave it at that we will just see how many are interested in this interesting numismatic piece
I’ll be surprised if it breaks 100$ by much if at all. Looks like the type of coin they used to sell at the mall kiosk back in the 80s for 5$ which was over priced at the time.
Most error coins are at least a little unique being mechanical deviations. The best things I see going for it are the classic criterias of which elements are still present date/MM.

oh yeah... wrong forum. try the buy sell trade to mention the sale
Disagree. This is an interesting topic. Would have gotten lost in the BST.
An interesting topic doesn't negate the spam of the thread title : "I wanted to share and advertise this discovery coin for error people it's at cco auctions right now!" or the first post, the entirety of which was a link to the auction listing.
Interesting information can be posted without spamming the forum.
Not really. He doesn't seem to be able to explain what the error actually is. So, all we've got is spam.

Coin had at least an unusual description. Hope the fellow stays around.

So i sold a struck in silver fragments for alot of money at great collections that was my first coin i sold i only collect unique and cool errors the tueller collection i thought to be awesome to have that last name
Links to your GC auctions please.
So the provenance is a Vanity Provenance?
Edited to add, IF I were to ever buy a coin with "tueller collection" (sic), I'd have it removed.

If you're interested in the coin, put a bid on it. Otherwise move on and give it a rest.
BTW, Tueller is the owner of said coin collection.
If you're interested in advertising it, get it out of the main forum and over to the BuySellTrade. At this point, you are a troll spamming the main board.
You should read and pay attention to the responses. Or, move along.

That’s a very interesting change in writing style. The grammar’s noticeably better and the sentences include periods at the end of them. It’s almost as if two different people are posting.

I told him that I was not familiar with that description used by NGC…
That it’s an interesting insert description.
I suggested that he auction it.
And then wished him luck once he told me that he had consigned it to SB.

Oddly after 2 decades I have never bought from Stacks. Probably have an account but don't know the password. I would bid about $150 all in. Though this will probably sell for a higher price than that.
Owner is going to be in the negative with all the fees in selling item NGC mint error fee and associated auction fees etc? What does Stacks charge for this type of auction?
How much business does it take to get NGC etc to get a special label to holdet.

Welcome and thanks for sharing . I will defer to Fred’s thoughts on the thing. A “gang punch…. “. That’s about right.
Practice makes perfect & nobody is perfect. So, practice being nobody.
We will just see what the auction does!!

Rare does not necessarily mean valuable. Error prices are generally driven by how dramatic and eye appealing the error is.
When I buy coin where provenance is advertised, I like to have information about the collection and its history.

Where is Mike Byers? Since his name was invoked, I'd like to hear his thoughts on this "amazing" error.

Fred described it accurately.
I was not familiar with the term…
No, I am not bidding on it.

Just bid $80 and outbid.
