  • Tex Schramm let out a big, heavy sigh from football heaven.

    Enjoy the go.

  • The Miami Dolphins have not won a first round playoff game since the year 2000.
We had an amazing season last year and still lost first round in the playoffs.
And we are three games in and our season is 150% ruined.

my Un-Love for the Cowboys started in the early 70's playing Tudor Electric Football with my cousin who Always Had To Have The Cowboys Team while playing, and I got stuck with the 49'ers...

I Was Burned Again by the Cowboys in the 1977 season right after the Divisional Round Dec 26th: Cowboys 37 - Bears 7....And me being a Chicagoean...Was Devastated By That Loss...

    And...And..I was just saying to...
    @perkdog & @LandrysFedora
When I was younger; how I would bitch and complain: How Come The Cowboys Had To Play on Thanksgiving Day??? back then I would've rather seen the: Steelers - Raiders - Dolphins...

Yeah. Got a friend in Dallas. Seems surprised anytime they don't notch a win.

I live in Texas and wives have started hiding all the sharp objects after loss #2.
But remember what JJ said in the off season. He’s all in! Unfortunately he did zero to improve a team that got blown out by GB at home last year.
He made 2 moves. Paid Dak and Ceedee
Same coaches, same small fast DL. Same confused defense. Teams just over power them and Dak gets caught with the deer in the headlights look

I still remember when Jones said in a press conference that any coach could have won the Super Bowl with the Cowboys and then hired Barry Switzer. Smooth. Move. Boss.

that's what happens when you pay 30 percent of your salary cap to your qb, prepare for the drought to continue

Jerry Jones reminds me of a decent poker player who doesn't understand why he can't beat the top players. Yes Jerry of course played football in college, and has a good bit of knowledge about the game. But he thinks that he can outsmart those sharper GM's out there, and it's obvious over many years that he just isn't capable of doing it. Sure Jerry is a smart guy, but the others are smarter, and Jerry's gigantic ego won't allow him to acknowledge that.

    Good post galaxy.
I remember three or four years ago Craig and a few others were saying the Chiefs better win while they can because they have a short window after they pay Mahomes. 😂

What they didn’t know is that the GM Brett Veach is a football genius and Clark Hunt lets him do his job knowing he put the best guy in that position. In fact Hunt is a genius for hiring Reid and Veach.

That’s why KC rolls like a well oiled machine. Dallas is completely dysfunctional with an egomaniac owner.

Daks cap hit is about 17 percent. Mahomes cap hit is between 14-15 percent. The NFL cap is designed to be manipulated and teams are good at making the contracts to minimize the impact.

While I do respect Jerrys desire to win, he really need a coach that will push back on him. Its been a long time since hes hired someone that would and that defense and team has really turned into more of a soft finesse high light real team. Maybe thats what he wants since the high lights are what bring the money, but the defense has been soft for a while now. They should be better than they have been

Especially a quarterback who has never delivered. It’s not like he’s paying that money to a Brady or a Mahomes. It’s like paying huge money to Curt Cousins.

Yeah, teams never are successful when they pay a good chunk to the most important player on the field.

Very strange that the Cowboys in the past two seasons were virtually unbeatable at home. But this season their home record is 0-3 including yesterday's debacle. Yet they are 3-0 on the road.

Go try to figure that one out? 🤔

In their last four home games, including playoffs, they're 0-4 and haven given up an average of 41.75 points per game.

I think this upcoming game tomorrow, will be a good indication of that one way or the other. The Cowboys have had two weeks of rest, along with two weeks to be hissed off about that loss. If they have any pride left in themselves, I would think that they would rebound and at least play well, perhaps maybe win the game if the ball bounces in their favor.

I still think the NFC East is wide open this season. With only the Giants close to being out of it.

first off, welcome to sports talk and thanks for the post. if you've done it before, my apologies. if you haven't, do it more often! B)

i'm a Bears lifer who has been surrounded by DC fans my entire life. i actually liked the Boys back in the Tom Landry & Tex Schramm days. made me sick to hear and read "America's Team" ad nauseam, but there really wasn't anything to dislike. that all changed when Jerry took over and unceremoniously disposed of Landry. the Cowboys have had a gross feel to them ever since. Jerry is a superb businessman, but from a football standpoint he has retarded the team's growth for decades. he has no idea what he's doing. look at this year's team. outside of Lamb, tell me a skill position player who strikes fear in the opposition? there's very little talent. they have no running game to speak of. instead of making a splash and snagging Derrick Henry, he made the brillliant decision to sign Dalvin Cook and resign Zeke.............two guys who probably run a 4.8 forty now. then he opens the vault and makes Dak Prescott the richest player in NFL history, and all he has to show for that is a filthy ass rich QB who is near the bottom of the QBR rankings and has never once led his team deep into the playoffs. if anything, the season usually ends with Dallas being utterly humiliated, which is what Jerry deserves. he's borderline senile now and until he moves on, there's no hope if you're a fan of that team. but even when that day comes, his son is standing in the on-deck circle. and you know what they say about the apple........it never falls far from the tree.

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet

To this very day, I'm still not 100% sure which I enjoy more, an Eagles win or a Cowboys loss?

I guess it depends on the season standings during the particular games. Obviously now with the Eagles hopefully headed to the playoffs, I enjoy an Eagles win more.

However in seasons whereby the Eagles were out of it, and the Cowboys vying for a playoff spot, I definitely enjoyed a Cowboys loss more.

    It's a sickness, I admit it. 🤔
